It's an interesting take but Vine reviews are more reliable to me.

New products are the ones that are going to have Vine reviews. It's just a way for new products to get some honest review history.

I'm a vine reviewer, and it's worth noting that we choose the items we want and the products we buy aren't actually free (they are taxed as income at the buyer's marginal income tax rate…which depending on income level means we are still paying about 15-37% of the value of the item. And that's the MSRP value, so a lot of times it's actually an inflated price and it's not much of a discount at all.).

We are kept in the program based on the quality of our reviews. We are encouraged to give honest feedback and there is no pressure to leave either good or bad reviews.

As there is no ability to return items (that still cost me money), if anything there's more incentive to leave negative reviews for bad items.

The alternative is companies posting fake reviews…which is not the case with Vine. You should adjust your perspective on this.

Is there a go to budget friendly strip people normally use? Around this joule rating is all I'm looking for with the kids tv and Xbox

I have yet to ever see one single vine review that was below 4 stars. It's absurd to think reviewers aren't biased when receiving free products. Most people I know skip right past vine reviews and discount them outright, and don't buy products which have nothing but biased vine reviews. Spout all you want, but your upvotes likely come from other vine reviewers. The vast majority of people likely skip your reviews as well.

I'm curious what incentive you think people in the Vine program have to give five star reviews. There's absolutely zero benefits to giving five star reviews. None. Zero.

Leaving five star reviews doesn't give you more "free stuff" (which is not actually free due to tax laws if you are capable of reading).

From the Vine instructions

"What it means to be a Vine Voice
As the people whose contributions provide millions of Amazon customers with crucial product insights, Vine Voices have a vital role to play. The Vine Voice badge symbolizes the voice of a trusted customer and a commitment to sharing insights that inform buying decisions across the world for Amazon shoppers. Our Vine Voice community takes this mission seriously and take intentional efforts to write insightful, trustworthy and quality reviews.

Be unbiased: Whether it is a positive, neutral, or negative rating, your review is about your experience with the product and what you liked and didn't like about it. Your reviews are your independent opinion and should not be influenced by anyone else. This also means that Amazon Vine does not modify or change your product review and you shouldn't feel pressured to either, unless you want to share updates in your review about the product.

Be honest: We want to hear your perspective. We want more of what you think. The honesty in an honest review will come through when you find a writing voice that comes natural to you. And that's what customers can trust from Vine Voices - a solid honest review from another customer just like them who happens to spend their free time reviewing new products.

Be insightful yet specific: Reviews are about the product. Avoid vague, general, and repetitive comments like reviews that just say "OK", "nice product", or "worst product". Share context that may help customers better assess the product and your experience with it, like information about your familiarity with the product type, how you used the product, and how long you used the product. Feedback not relevant to the product, such as those about the seller, your shipment experience, pricing, or packaging, should not be shared in Vine Reviews.

Add photos/videos: While not mandatory, customers really appreciate seeing pictures and videos of the items in real life and in action. Make sure you use relevant and in focus images. It's helpful to take advantage of natural light, try shots from different angles before uploading the best options, and zoom out enough to capture the entirety of a subject. Also, please respect the privacy of others and yourself by avoiding taking identifiable images of people and places.

Before you submit, check your insightful review for basic grammar and sentence structure. Taking this extra time to polish your review establishes trustworthiness and credibility, but also makes it easier for all customers at all reading levels to understand."

I have not seen a single vine review with less than four stars. That should tell anyone all they need to know. Your reply was unnecessarily long and boring. I assume your reviews are as well.
