I'll bite; I can always return to amazon pretty easily. I went with a large (I usually fit medium but especially for something like this a little extra room is useful). Seems like a good price and my current rain jackets aren't all that great. The idea of wearing a shell around like I would while snowboarding is interesting too granted I don't know if the color is my favorite.

I received this today as two days ago the Medium only was $25. The quality is shockingly good - this is an early winter jacket. Its all fleece lined somewhat heavy. I would not size up as its already a classic fit.

The big new is, its a proper shell using their WeatherEdge(Base Gore-Tex) + DWR treated. They failed to note on the listing that it includes their WeatherEdge membrane but it is printed on the jacket sleeve. The Gore-Tex patent ran out and most manufactures make their own version for cost savings on paying to use the name.

I've found Columbia fit's larger/squarer but unsure about Eddie Bauer. I sometimes fit medium/large also and hate how inconsistent the sizing can be. Shells are great.. less areas for water to leak through.
