It probably doesn't matter for these $40 handhelds, but everyone should be aware that Anbernic doesn't honor warranties on AliExpress.com outside of the 15-day return window. I confirmed this with Anbernic support, who said they cannot warranty any devices not bought directly through Anbernic.com and that warranties must be handled through the seller. The official Anbernic store on AliExpress will tell you they cannot honor warranties outside of the return window of AliExpress and to contact Anbernic, who will then deny your claim again. Additionally, your credit card's warranty protection and chargeback period usually only covers you for 90-120 days from purchase, so that would be the maximum time you could get a refund if your cheap Anbernic device fails. I got burned on one of their other devices; everyone should know this to make an informed decision. I am not saying don't buy the device, but know what you are getting into.

I had one if these for about a year. It won't turn on anymore. Thought it was the battery but replaced it and its still a brick. Absolute junk.

Yeah it's a shame to invest time in some game only to loose your progress because of a flaky device. If you're mostly running Nintendo stuff, invest in a 2DSXL, pricy but solid.
