This fan is about as good as you'd expect a $45 fan to be.

Have this brand but a different fan which is smaller and the fan and light work great for the guest bedroom.

Reviews say that the fan is worthless if you lose the remote or it stops working. Sounds like the light continues to work fine by the wall switch though.

I would like to do away with the pedestal fans I have to use during summer. For anyone who buys this, does this actually blow stacks of paper away from a desk? Majority of ceiling fans assume you have AC running and just circulates a little bit. I want to do away with AC during summer (the pedestal fans do that but takes up space)

I bought one last time and it seems okay for the money. Very easy to install...
I have it on winter mode and it is definitely quietly circulating the heat from my heat pump around the room. I don't hear anything at 1 speed...This is the only reason I put a fan in as I don't really need help cooling the space in the summer.
The light is quite bright and unfortunately not dimmable so don't plan on using it.

If you lose the remote and use the wall switch to power on the light, it will always default to bright cold white color....and you must turn on and off quickly to cycle through the desired warmth. It won't be able to remember as power is totally cut off from the wall switch....so don't lose the remote.
