Terms say for initial month + 2 more, so after 3 months it goes back up to $50/month. Says you have to purchase with autopay enabled to get discount.

If you don't like to call, they take 7 days to answer an email. I gave it a test drive. It wasn't anything vital, I wanted to see their response time. Their contact us page tells you what to provide when contacting them, which is what I did. I provided my info, then proceeded with my question. Their response after 7 days was something to the effect, "Thank you for contacting Lyca, please provide your name and account, etc., so we can verify account owner." This is the same crap they tell you to provide when contacting them. LOL! I proceeded to repeat myself with same info, then another 7 days go by, and another rep wanted some verification info. LOL! The funny thing is, they are continuing on the same thread, it's not a new email. This is when I got snarky, and said, "All you have to do is read through my prior responses in this email thread to get all my info. I'm repeating myself every 7 days, but here is the info again... I look forward to you asking me to verify my info again in 7 days." LOL! The snarky comment did get the next rep, again after 7 days, to answer my question, and she did advise me the best way to contact them was through phone. But no joke, they literally take 7 days, that's not exaggeration or hyperbole. It was always 7 days on the dot for me.

Now the good news is that, they have a AUTO RENEWAL on off in their website and app. I've heard people have to call in to cancel because this wasn't available, but seems like it's available now. So if you're ditching the number, that's all you have to do. Even still, it was weird, the auto renewal ON OFF didn't seem to work. I kept getting an error. But after a few days, the toggle did show off. So if you don't plan to renew, do the toggling 1 week before in case the app is quirky. Give it enough time to update their site. If you turn it off on the day, you might get charged if the toggle off didn't go through. If you have to PORT a number out, then you'll have to call in.

I signed up for the same plan as a new customer. At purchase, I was charged $12.25 plus tax, for a total of $12.86. I enabled auto-renewal, but on my first renewal they billed me $49 plus tax, totaling $51.45.When I contacted Lycamobile customer service, it took 40–45 minutes just to connect to a live agent. Once connected, they repeatedly placed me on hold until the call reached 60 minutes, at which point their fair usage policy automatically disconnected the call.Reaching out via email wasn't any better. They took 10 days to respond, asking for details like my full name. Even after I provided the information, they waited another 10 days before replying that the details didn't match their records—despite the fact that their email itself included my correct full name. The whole process was frustrating and felt like a crazy service experience.
