Might as well wait for Black Friday. MSI is going to wait a month before they ship anyway.

When they had the 9950x3d + this motherboard deal they shipped it surprisingly fast got it the same week it was ordered.

Somewhat obvious typo in the deal: 9950x3d combo is 799, not 699.

Is the combo with 9950x3d for $799 a good deal? Seems better than Microcenter's bundle?

Too rich for my blood, but I will say I've been running the X570 Tomahawk Wifi and 3600X since 2019 and it's my favorite motherboard I've had (since 2010).

Better board yes, but you get a tray CPU instead so you have to go through MSI for warranty (and 1yr vs 3yr).

If you want one now, I'd still probably go with the MSI unless your local MC lets you swap the board (and I've heard MSI doesn't charge tax in some places, though they do for me). Their RAM bundles might be a draw too if you're on a short timeline given the price increases as of late.

You got lucky. Go check out MSI's message boards, or reddit about their customer service. I wouldn't order anything from them unless they were giving it away.

I've heard Gigabyte is worse, but between the "big 3" Gigabyte, Asus and MSI, I've seen bad stories about their technical support/customer service, you just can't win.

that's why choosing a board is rather difficult if getting 870e, the previous generation i heard didn't have the amount of issues these have....and it didn't matter if it was a low-end or god-tier....I hear that asrock this time around is worst with burning certain amd CPUs like the 9800x3d

I wouldn't give an ASRock to my worst enemy right now, hearing nothing but bad things about them (at least on the AMD side) definitely stay away! And I would be especially cautious to those folks buying prebuilts (ie. CyberPowerPC, iBuyPower, etc) they love to use ASrock garbage in their systems and frequently have proprietary BIOS's you can't upgrade.
