These aren't, "floating shelf", brackets. They are just shelf brackets. I honestly like the design as they can be installed to look minimalist/industrial but a "floating shelf" got its name because there should be no obviously visible brackets/mounts/hardware. A true floating shelf has the bracket mounted to the wall and fits INSIDE the body of the shelf. This effectively conceals the brackets existence creating the, "floating" aesthetic.

I know this is a ridiculous thing to explain but if I didn't, my OCD would make me itch and lose sleep. Now, my mental itch has been scratched and I will be able to sleep.

These won't work on drywalled walls. The screw spacing doesn't allow 2 of 4 screws to go into the studs and the design of these will gain you virtually no holding strength with drywall plugs being used.

Got these and do not recommend. The footprint on the wall isn't large enough to hold significant weight with that leverage against drywall.

The code works for all sizes. As long as it's the 6 pack. Thanks!

I have the 10" version in my pantry for ten, eight ft 2x12s shelf's loaded with up with can goods. I ended up drilling two holes in the center of each bracket to center every 16" on the studs. It worked but not without extra effort.

I chose to hide the bracket behind the wood. The project saved me on real floating shelf cost.

I would suggest a quality wood screw into the studs in two of the holes and toggle bolts in the other two. Easy peasy lemon squeezey.
