On the TUF, using the 2nd M.2 slot cuts your video card down to x8 speed. On the Tomahawk, it's the Thunderbolt, it's the rear USB4 ports that shares bandwidth with one of the M.2 slots. More people are likely using their video cards than the USB4, and there are plenty of USB3 ports.
I had the Strix-x670E-A and had nothing but problems with it. And I haven't had any problems yet with the Tomahawk x870E I replaced it with. (I hope I didn't just jinx it!)
