interesting that a bunch of clowns gave about 30 thumbs up to the more than two-years-old c1000 model deal a couple of weeks ago, which at $379 was a dollar more, and now the newly updated gen 2 c1000 model only gets 11 thumbs up being a dollar less.
further evidence that slickdeals shoppers are clueless about power stations, and are not all that trustworthy or reliable to find a good deal.
yes, that is one area where they short-change folks who upgrade to the new gen 2 model. the original came with 1056 wh battery, and this new is about 3% less at only 1024 wh.

The gen2 is better in every way except it is not expandable. So, there is a con to gen2 vs the gen1. Real question is how is name calling and criticizing others help you?

i did not criticize any one specific person, but just ignorant SD people in general. i get tired of over-hyped power station deals on slickdeals. multiple times i have seen deals that go front page or are way over-hyped, i tell people that i thumbs-downed the deal, and in multiple cases, sometimes in a matter of days, a much better deal comes along. but nothing changes, and the over-hyping continues. as i have stated on previous occasions, there is a vested interest in over-hyping deals, either to generate sales for the company, or to generate affiliate commissions. so, something fishy is going on.
just to clarify, while the gen 2 is better in some respects, it is not better in every single way.
not only is the expansion port done away with, but so is the lightbar from the original. the battery has also been shrunk by about 3% from 1056wh to 1024wh.
i have the original gen 1 c1000x, and find the app to be underwhelming. i don't have a gen 2 and can only hope they have improved the app, which is very basic on the original c1000.
the inverter rating on gen 2 has been bumped up from 1800w to 2000w, and peak has gone from 2400w to 3000w. the battery life cycles have been raised from 3,000 to 4,000 on the gen 2, and the usb ports are higher wattage, etc.
