There are reasons people want a 3kg spool including myself from time to time. They are almost always more expensive than buying 1KG spools individually

Ah great deal but it wouldn't fit on my creality K1 SE because the spool holder is too close to bottom

Can probably just print a spool holder that supports it.

The coupons never work for me on AliE. I gave up.

You might have to respool it, but that doesn't sound very fun. Just buy multi pack AliExpress.

It's usually been a cookie issue for me. Open a private browser window and log in from it. Then try again from there.

Not at all. If you respool it I would assume you would be respooling it down to a 1KG spool that would fit the AMS, thereby losing the very advantage that the 3KG spool offers. I would suppose the only way to use the 3KG spool is on the external spool manually. A 3KG spool would certainly print a long time without changing spools.

It won't natively fit on the built in spool holders, but you don't actually need to use those in the first place. I use an external 4 spool filament dryer sitting on the side of the printer where the spool holders would be that feed the AMS just fine. You would need to get some kind of roller system for it to spin as the extruder pulls the filament, but you could make it work. Ultimately, you may be better served by some of the deals that have been posted from AliExpress for 1kg spools, but most of those aren't high speed, so depends on what you are printing and how fast.

Which 4-spool filament dryer do you use with your AMS?

I use the SUNLU S4 dryer. It has space for 4 rolls and has openings at the top for you to feed the filament through.
