Our cats are indoor cats, useful for when they are hiding under the bed or go into the linen closet and we close the door not realizing they are sleeping there on top of the towels.Big Grin

How is it over priced if you only need 1 or 2? It's $7 cheaper to buy 4 and that only helps you if you NEED 4! Not everyone needs 4, so why spend $65 when you can spend $18 or $36 for just what your needs are?

advocating for such a deal because you personally don't need four is wild. That's not budgeting, that's mental gymnastics with no spotter. The rest of us can do basic division without crying about it. But if overpaying makes you feel financially responsible, go for it.

You are talking a $7 savings on buy 4. If you need 4 great, no argument. But buying 4 when you're looking to just get 1, even if, by some chance YOU MIGHT need 3 more in the next 6 months, makes no sense. It's not worth laying out $65 today to MAYBE save $7 in the next 6-12 months. There are certain items you just don't stock up on if you don't need them, and this is one IMO.

I know all about deals and budgeting, but volume purchasing ONLY makes budgetary sense if you have a high confidence you'll use what you buy in a reasonable period of time. That's like getting a flat tire and having to buy a new tire and not all 4 when the other 3 still have 85% of the tread left. Sure it is cheaper to get a set of 4 and you might need 3 new ones 3 years from now, but why would you do that to save $120 on 4 vs buying 1 now.
