Yeah, the prices are just completely insane.

These used to be for a 'box' and not $25 -- they learned inflation.

Good, but so overpriced for a pound of chocolate now. $32 per pound I think. Have to think about how much more of any other candy you can get price per pound before buying. I think these are now even $39.99 for $50 instore, so this is already a $1 discount to the older price before the extra code. I also remember the days when it was $16 I think per 1lb certificate. If those didn't expire, use your time machines and become a chocolate billionaire.

I took the plunge. I had to buy 4 to get $20 discount instead of lucky member who could buy 3.😜

It's crazy to me that so many people pay such high prices for "chocolate" that for the most part is made with the same ingredients as $1.99 boxed theater candy that are widely available at CVS, Walgreens, etc. The primary ingredient or ingredient listed first in most chocolate these days is SUGAR, not COCOA. Moreover, the other most common ingredient is CORN SYRUP.

From See's site, I see that its Dark Salted Caramel candy is basically "sugar, cream, chocolate, corn syrup," and "cocoa butter" (the first 5 ingredients). It's unclear what ingredients the "chocolate" contains, especially since chocolate is already supposed to contain cocoa butter.

Forget it. For premium prices, I want chocolate made with better ingredients and better disclosure. In the meantime, Riesens seem like a better deal pricewise with "GLUCOSE SYRUP (FROM WHEAT OR CORN), SEMISWEET CHOCOLATE (SUGAR, CHOCOLATE LIQUOR, COCOA BUTTER, BUTTERFAT, SOY LECITHIN EMULSIFIER, VANILLA POWDER), SUGAR." At least Storck discloses what its chocolate is made out out of.
