Don't get a refurb v15. Users have reported that the older versions (model SV22) have motor problems have fail around 1yr.

See exhibit A: https://www.reddit.com/r/dyson/co...w_seconds/

See exhibit B:

Exhibit B references another source: https://community.dyson.com/gener...times-4056

The newer versions (model SV47) that Costco sells seem to have less issues so far.

I have personally purchased both the refurb v15 (direct from Dyson, failed after 8 months) and Costco v15, and have come to the above conclusions. Let my cost be your gain. Good luck...

If you are choosing between the refurbished eBay and new Costco option, get the Costco one. I tried eBay and went through the return process twice - the first one's motor wouldn't start reliably and the second had a cracked body. The return process is relatively simple but the Dyson eBay customer support wouldn't respond reliably and in the end I had to use eBay customer service to get a refund. A giant headache and waste of time for me in the end.

Also the green laser on the Costco (i.e. new not refurbished) version seemed much better than my first eBay refurbished one - the angle was much wider. The refurbished ones came in different types of boxes - the first one was more similar to a retail/new box, and the second one seemed very much refurbished.

Anyway that is my 2c - a lot of people are perfectly happy with their eBay refurbished versions, but after the second time for me I decided to pay the Costco premium. At $500 I would say this is good value.

Sale 11/14/25-12/1/25
This is the lowest price I have seen in a while at Costco. It was similarly priced a couple years ago here, but the sale price I have seen for the last year or two has been at least $50 higher. Also, this Costco version comes with more attachments than included from most stores. 11 attachments, including the two main heads, the Fluffy Optic and Digital Motorbar heads. (see attached photo for accessories/attachments included.)

I do think that it may not come with the HEPA filter, which may only be available when purchased directly through Dyson (not verified)

$9.99 extra for shipping (I think it may also be available at warehouse for pickup)

Warranty 2 years.

Wish it was just a tad lower, would have been an easy decision.

Can the HEPA filter be added to this, or is that a different version of the vacuum?

I would be surprised it if the price gets much lower. I wondered the same thing. Dyson sells the regular filter for the V15 for $29.99 and the HEPA filter for the same price and if it fits, I may buy a HEPA and use the other one as a spare (for when I wash the first one....it often takes 2-3 days to dry due to the humidity where I live). They look the same. If anyone knows the answer....please let us know.

Showing 790 in store. These go on sale in a few weeks at 590. Wonder what gives and if the new sale price will appear in warehouse

Yes, just noticed in app it says Buy in Warehouse, and in small print it says "Warehouse Pricing may Vary".

Our of curiosity, I did call Dyson to ask of the HEPA filter is compatible with Costco's V15 and for what its worth, after a long hold, the representative told me that it IS compatible. I do realize that their answers are not always 100% true, but perhaps it will fit.
