How does this compare to a ASUS ProArt PA278CV when connected to an older Ryzen 5 series laptop with 3050m graphics?

Nice, I didn't see that deal. Was that for brand new?

It's 4K and not advertised as a gaming monitor. It's great for productivity. So that doesn't kill the deal for people not looking at 4K monitors to be used outside gaming.

I'd still recommend at least 144hz for that, its night and day difference.

The ASUS is more for professional work that requires color accuracy and has a QHD (2560 x 1440) resolution and better connectivity options. The LG is a more general use higher resolution 4K monitor, but it doesn't have the color accuracy of the ASUS.

For those wondering how this compares to the Dell S2725QS that has been on sale recently, they are somewhat comparable except the Dell has a higher 120Hz refresh rate. However, the Dell is ~$65 more expensive, which may be worth it depending on your use case. The Dell also has built-in speakers if that matters to you.
