Just some fyi to those who aren't anime collectors - this 4k release was source encoded with a green tinge in the video that the US disc authors (Discotek) were forced to use. It's why the 4k disc is usually passed up for the bluray, which was also encoded by Discotek, but wasn't sourced from the same company in Japan who messed up the color scaling of the video source.
Fantastic movie. Classic!
There are so many versions with USA and Japanese music, English and Japanese audio, and censored and uncensored.
I prefer the Japanese music with English personally. USA music doesn't fit the mood as well.

This movie was honestly so good, I was wondering why they just didn't make it into a live-action film. I'm not sure if it would translate well though. Was wondering if they were also worried about copyright issues with the robots who seemed like a ripoff of Taskmaster.

So don't buy this version and wait for a Bluray deal?

The bluray is older and out of print, but it's still out there. Right now, CrunchyRoll has it on sale for $17 minus s&h. Just note that since it's older, it probably doesn't have the slip cover anymore.

I'll take the risk and grab a copy off eBay. I kinda have a self-ban on anything related to CrunchyRoll (I've been around since the IRC days for this stuff). Thanks for the heads up.
