This isn't a good price. Should be around $250.

Still have a few of these unopened from the great Walmart deal a couple years ago - paid around $70 for each. I remember it sold out quickly but Walmart did honor all transactions.

Not anymore, SSD pricing in is up 25%+ and continuing to rise due to a NAND shortage and it's expected to get worse

These prices are ridiculous. Not hating on the deal. Just memory and storage right now.

You mean "I'd like to pay $250 for this drive". We won't see that kind of price for the next 3 years - Google and companies like that will gladly pay prices close to this and they buy EB and PB of storage.

We will not see price reductions until the AI boom is over. For those wanting the pricing of 2-3 years ago - the SSD makers were selling below cost (it's complicated). In addition, no new fabs are under construction - Micron will start building one of three in 2027 (to finish in 2030) - that's the next fab coming.

The cost of a new fab is over $10 billion - so not likely that new companies will get into this space.

Yea give it a couple more weeks and it will go up again.

Nand shortage and nand makers hiking prices. They have done this several times and caught several times. Yet those slaps on the wrist don't seem to be working, weird.
