My wife had this exact same machine (with a webcam) for her daily driver. Does zoom, office 365, and the usual litany of remote work stuff just fine. She doesn't use it anymore because work gave her...wait for it...an updated version of the same machine! Another elite book, this one with AMD AI 370 and more RAM. She does literally the same work flow, and the change to productivity is zero. Oh well.

The screen on this particular SD isn't special, but gets the job done. Other SDs with similar panels always remark how garbage it is, but I'd argue that in the world of FHD panels, you can't really ask for much these days (gaming monitors notwithstanding). It isn't that bright.

The screen doesn't flex, can be opened with one finger and has a full featured USB C port so you can charge and run monitor out from it.

Half a decade old in 2026 doesnt mean much unless you're doing AI or video production. My ThinkPad p15 from 2020 runs a 10th gen comet-lake six-core. Ancient by current specs, but does everything normies need. And let's not forget everyone's favorite evergreen soc, the M1 chip...which is so good, that it has to be artificially held back by potentially sunsetting software support.

This machine is not a bad buy in this price range (especially with ramageddon), all said and done.

Nope. Probably used in a high security environment.

This is an enterprise level laptop and is very stable compared to consumer level laptops for daily use. CPU is 4+ years old so it's not the latest but will be good for web browsing and media consumption.

Exactly what I was looking for: a very stable, enterprise-level laptop with a half-decade-old processor for web browsing and watching YouTube.

This one is a really snappy machine even today. It works with Qubes OS. I have to set up for triple boot with the aforementioned and KDE neon along with native windows. I got it a couple of years ago for the same price and works great when I need it.

I deploy hundreds of computers each year and I wouldn't call it enterprise grade except in a low end high turn over environment.
No, they didn't mean enterprise grade, they meant Enterprise level, like the laptop you'd be sporting if you were a low level employee in a car rental agency.

This statement is delusional. You are entitled to your opinion, it's just wrong.
