These get good reviews, but I don't think I could get past the mud/dirt/water/bug traps built into the soles.

any overpronators use these shoes for walking? how are they?

for context, because i overpronate, i've been mostly wearing stability shoes (usually i repurpose my running shoes into walking shoes when they're no longer good for running), or i wear neutral shoes with custom orthotics

You do get used to them, or any dirt is unseeable. I've been wearing On's for years and don't really experience this but maybe your life includes more dirt and water than mine.

I have terrible flat feet and wear orthotics and find On shoes to be awesome when it comes to arch support. That said, the Cloud 6 sole is not as good for people like (and you). I own a pair because I needed a pair that was easy to slip on/off and find it much less supportive than their other shoes.

I appreciate the deal posting, but I always forget about the $20 coupon on all of the Dicks sporting goods posts. If you already used one, these deals become much less valuable.

I know you put it in the description. I'm just too lazy to read the whole thing most of the time and don't realize until I go to the retailer...

i see, thanks for the insight. i'll pass on these then.
i've never tried On shoes before but in recent years, i've seen a lot of people trying them so was thinking about getting a pair at some point.

I would recommend their Cloudflyer shoe. It's got a thicker sole/is more supportive that the Cloud 6 but it's not TOO thick or clunky.

Spiky things from sweet gum tree and 1 inch gravel stones like a magnet. Water is not an issue.
