I don't quite understand the hate for this being ONLY M12. I have the pruning saw (mini chain saw) and it's a freaking beast! I locked my Husky 455 into a slanted cut and used the M12 to slowly cut it out! Lol yeah, I know, I should have paid more attention when felling that part of the tree.

Anyway, if this is anything like the M12 saw, it should do just fine. I mean, I really want this and it sucks my YMMV didn't work for me...

I got this as an extra part of a combo years ago and I got my moneys worth out of it. My brother-in-law has the m18 hackzall, it's performs significantly better. Even my dad's old dewalt 20v sawzall with the old phallic battery got thru our cuts twice as fast and lasted slight longer.

I use the M12 Fuel version regularly and love it.

Yes it isn't a beast like the M18 or a corded, but it works for what it is intended and works great!

I use this way more than I thought I would when I purchased it. I've cut off seized trailer bolts and metal closet rods for a custom closet, cut long bolts down to size and several other things that it was just the perfect tol for the job and made it really easy.

The brushed M12 is very weak
The M12 fuel is significantly more powerful
The M18 is bigger and stronger
On a scale of 1 to 10
If the M12 brushed were a 1, the M12 fuel would be a 7 and the M18 fuel a 10
