I get the convenience, but this is such a terrible value. You get, at best, 3/4 fill versus buying your own tank and refilling.

Yes, but at a major retailer, this appears to be the best price, Lowes is $22.

Of course if you buy your own tank and refill , it's a better deal, but some people only cookout 2-4x a year and likely aren't all that concerned with the extra cost. So for those, I posted the deal.

Modern tanks have an overfill protection device that only allows a tank to be filled to 80% to allow for expansion. A tank expires 12 years from date of manufacturing and credible places will not fill it. The tank exchange is best for swapping an expired tank.
