How does slickdeal make their money?

Not like I am entitled to this info. just curious as this is a pretty good site and it would be good to know the integrity is legit. e.g. how do we know the mod's don't have a bias towards posting FP deals from certain merchants. sometimes it seems like any half a$$ deal from amazon makes it front page.

on a side note, how do I invest in SD? I bet this site and others like groupon, buy with me, etc,. get really good traffic and generate some good profit.

You know because we tell you we dont, and because you trust us, and everyone else trusts us. We do have an affinity towards reputable merchants though. I wont deny that we think amazon actually delivers their products, they have pretty good customer service, and they'll sometimes even deliver price mistakes even though it hurts them.

I dont have to share this with you, because it wont deter the naysayers anyway, but there was a long period of time that Amazon did not give us any referral revenue at all - and we still posted their deals. And to this day, Amazon actually punishes us for being a deal site.

Lots of deals will make it to the frontpage, and whether or not we make money on those deals doesnt matter to us. Its all about sharing the best deals. Consider the many deals that send you into a brick and mortar establishment? Fast food freebies and slickdeals, we of course never see a cent from those, yet we still publish them.

If we didnt post good deals that people could actually get, you wouldn't be using the site Smilie
