AMC's The Walking Dead [Spoilers!]

Did you watch?

For a show on a non premium cable channel, I thought it was very good. I never read the comic, so I don't know how it compares, but I'll be watching every Sunday. pisses me off that I don't get AMC in HD though.

Season four is shaping up weak. I don't like the ex-sheriff going nuts. Reminds me of what happened to Six Feet Under, when Nate went nuts. I stopped watching at that point too.
Season four? Come on, man, no spoilers! And certainly not ones a year in the future!

Anyway, if blondie doesn't eventually kill the Governor, then I'm going to furrow my brow and be very angry in her direction.

Also, funny to see the group of four now on board to attack the prison after a short time ago being all "we don't do that. These are decent people." You suck, group of four! You suck!

Oh yeah, I meant to say season three.

I liked how Herschel nutted up and took it to Rick instead of him going all half walking dead himself into a corner and crying like a sissy girl.

I personally liked how they portrayed the Andrea and the gang reunion. It was tense, it was not all heart felt, there was no touchy feely music in the background and tears shed. It was tense, a bit on the paranoid side, and when battle lines are drawn, it was a good example of each side wondering who Andrea has an allegiance with so overall that was good.

Get used to it folks, this show has always had a lot of dialog, in your ear whispering, and discussions of the past, present, future, and that takes up a majority of the screen time way more than zombie killing ever has so if you're expecting plot twists like 24 or even Lost, it's not going to happen.

Yeah, another filler episode, but these happen ALL THE TIME, folks. They make you appreciate the action-packed ones. nod

Remember, it's a story about people and their relationships, not just all about killing zombies..

I think it put it into perspective when they started to talk about Rick. They were grateful for what the prison people did, helping them out...but then the 'bat sh*t crazy leader came back' and went all nuts on them and sent them to what could have been perceived as their death.

I am sure if it came down to it, and group of 4 could shoot Carl or Rick...they'd probably spare Carl and kill Rick.

Ohhhh, that would be a great twist..."Hello, my name is Carl, You killed my father, prepare to die."

So what did Rick see in the forest?

A friend had an interesting theory about it being something that Rick thought he saw, but then it was gone.. maybe a sign that his crazies are going away a little. He probably would have told the group if it was an intruder or spy.

Awesome episode! It showed a lot of little things that we needed answers to and soon. Great interlude before dealing with the Governor again next week.

I agree it was a nice episode. Shows the changing of the attitudes(not picking up hitch-hiker), carl growning up more, rick coping with going insane. I KNEW they were going to find morgan soon.

I think it will help Rick see what could be his future.
May help bring him back down to Earth.

Agreed, it was so nice to get away from Andrea and the Governator for a while.

PS, can we get the mods to add a [SPOILERS] note to the thread title so we don't have to use spoiler tags? laugh out loud

They noted on Talking Dead afterwards that they were supposed to find Morgan in S2, but that Lennie James is a very busy actor and they couldn't get him in there in time. I think the timing of this reunion worked very well, though.

Absolutely +1. Ricks see what he could be and he'll be better for it going forward. Good to have closure with Morgan, though.

At AMC, Zombies Topple Network TV [nytimes.com]
During its run last fall, “The Walking Dead” was the highest-rated show among viewers 18 to 49, the most-sought age group, with a bigger audience than network winners like “The Big Bang Theory,” “American Idol,” “The Voice” and “Modern Family.”

Now the zombies are back for the second half of the show’s third season, and they continue to gnaw on everything in their path, including the broadcast networks’ historical claim to being the only place to find a mass audience. Three weeks ago, the zombies owned Sunday night, attracting 7.7 million viewers in the 18 to 49 range, more than any broadcast show in the land.
