Did you watch?

For a show on a non premium cable channel, I thought it was very good. I never read the comic, so I don't know how it compares, but I'll be watching every Sunday. pisses me off that I don't get AMC in HD though.

So we got introduced to who i absolutely though the producers were replacing with T-Dog, we got to see the backside of the prison, the E-block, and we got to see guns, violence, zombies, and all if it leading into one helluva second half of the season. Awesome episode, can't wait for more! Bounce
Speaking of the back of the prison, my first thought was wtf caused that big of a hole in the wall? Second thought, they couldn't make a run to Home Depot and get supplies to try to secure the prison walls?

Very good point. Great looking scene, great set up, but looks like an earthquake or an arm of C4 was used during the production of the show.

Home Depot where? laugh out loud

Home Depot's HQ is in Atlanta, not sure where stores are in relation to where the prison's supposed to be, just saying.

There are a couple of scenes on there of where "Daryl was searching for Sophie" and they are MILES apart...and yet the Farm House/Prison/Woodburry are all just a stones throw from each other...haha. That is neat though, but that is my main complaint with it.

They are farther north from what I can tell, out in the county and country area of Georgia. My distinct impression is that the nearest Home Depot, Lowes, etc. is back where they came from in the ATL. Now that's not to say there isn't a local lumber shop that couldn't be scavenged. But considering they were surrounded by zombie hoards on all sides for miles in almost all directions (as stated in episode 1 this season) then I suspect doing a lot of scavenger hunts is probably not going to happen.

They had too many black guys on the show, had to cut one down.
My first thought when he got shot was, "Whoa, wait, that can't happen... he's not wearing a red shirt."

If that hole in the prison fence wasn't new, I have to wonder who in the group goes on patrol and misses a giant hole in the fence.

"The prison is ours! It's all secure! Yay!"
"No holes in the fence or anything?"
"Probably not!"

They even said specifically that they knew the WHOLE jail wasn't secure, but rather that they have certain parts locked off. That is why Hershal even said "Well, random walkers find there way in, there is no reason a person couldn't also."

I took that as "Yea, people can get into the building, but we have this cell block locked down big time so they won't get close"

I did like how the building looked like it took a cannon ball into the side.

No red shirt, but maybe it's the other horror rule of the black guy dies first?

He's probably already got an eye out for another lady. Rofl2 That's not gonna get old. Rofl2

Seriously though, I was thinking about him going to his room. There didn't really seem like a reason for it. Was he going to grab his little girl and slip out? At the very least I think he was trying to hideout until the conflict was over. Either way, not very good leadership.

I said the same thing when the black guy 1st popped onto the screen.

Me:"ohhh, no"
Wife: "what?"
Me:"It's another black guy...there can only be one! And he has a black friend too? The prison dude's gonna die tonight"
Wife: "Yea...what is his name even?"
Me:Dontknow

Thyrease?

I'm only 5 hours from Atlanta; I wonder if I could do a drive-by and maybe catch them filming something? That would be so cool. Big Grin

10 hrs really worth it?

Plus, they aren't filming year round, I bet they only film maybe 2-3 months combined?
