Thread Details

The PUBLIX thread is IMHO the best grocery store thread around heart
Here's a little chat area for us all to share info, recipes, rant's, raves and whatever else we want without clogging up the regular weekly deals thread for PUBLIX. If we want to share super deals we find in other stores or whatnot that's ok too heart

I think we all are such a great family that it's a good to have our own special place Grouphug

You can post basically anything you like in here but let's keep deals info in the actual PUBLIX thread. All are welcome and basically no major rules except be kind and courteous of other's and treat each other with respect. Other than that let's all have some fun! Also you don't have to shop at PUBLIX to share in the chat or whatnot... we like everyone.

Different topic:

Tomorrow 3/17 is double points at KFR and IIRC you can only load 20 per day, so choose the larger pointed items to upload bulb

ETA: Listed under promotions for me...
Happy St. Patty's Day! ONE DAY ONLY – Earn double points (and dance an Irish jig) for each code you enter on March 17.

Do you guys ever have a hard time buying things for yourself? I've had my eye on a necklace for years and I keep putting off buying it because of the price. I'm simple with jewelry and I know any necklace I buy is something I wear LOTS...but I can't bite the bullet. Yet, I have no trouble spending the same amount of money on other people or on things for the house, etc.

The way I see it
every life is a pile of good things and bad things.
The good things don't always soften the bad things
but vice versa
the bad things don't necessarily spoil the good things
and make them unimportant

hug If you follow only one rule, let it be this one. Be yourself. The really strong relationships are based on what people really are, not on what they pretend to be. heart

Yep! My daughter has a $1200 bedroom set (she's 5), but I can't seem to buy a $100 pair of shoes for myself.

My husband just put plywood flooring in the attic. TONS OF ROOM up there. But I live in FL and not sure what stockpile stuff is safe to store up there ? Paper products ? Laundry detergent?

Our attic space gets really hot in the summer and really cold in the winter, we only store paper goods up there. I tried laundry detergent and shampoo/conditioner and it separated from the heat.

We store TP, paper towels and tampons without any problems. Don't put feminine pads there though, we had trouble with the stickiness drying out.

After the Kellogg's Family Rewards bonanza a few months ago, when coupons were just 100 points each and you could get up to 10 prints apiece, I swore off KFR once things got back to normal. It was just too much work entering codes and waiting to get to 1000 points for one measly coupon that no longer printed 10 times (I'd be lucky to get just one print.)

We are low on Eggos though, and those $1.50 coupons were calling to me, to use for this week's BOGO. Darned if I didn't just tear open every single box of cereal and Pop Tarts in the pantry just to get at the codes.

Every single box I have entered I just taped the box back up.

Unless you have an attic fan installed, it gets super duper hot up there - even more so than the garage itself (if you have a garage). I personally wouldn't do a long-term storage up there (as in 4 years worth of tp, lol). As stated, don't put anything with glue/sticky up there - it will dry out the sticky or melt the glue.

I found out the hard way, lol. I stored my Christmas cards up there. All the envelopes ended up in 1 big stuck together mess. I also accidentally stored some Christmas decorations up there that had candles in them (didn't know the box had candles in them when I did it) Embarrassment
