I went shooting a little bit over the weekend. I am just not crazy about glock triggers. My sig is so much easier to shoot.
what model glock is it? i agree that the sigs are a smoother shooting gun, i love my 229.. but i do carry a glock 26 almost everywhere with me because of the size

Sig makes a bunch of really nice stuff, that is for sure. I am taking a class from them next month and I am pretty excited. We are supposed to go through 500 rounds in 8 hours.

I ended up getting the M&P this weekend, but the rain put a damper on any shooting. I'll finally get to fire it Thursday though.
Awesome! Post your thoughts after you make the trip.

This past weekend i was shooting a 19. I still need to buy a carry gun and I plan to get something in 9mm... probably a Beretta nano or one of kahr's small guns. But I haven't shot either of those yet so I'm not sure.

Check out the BP9CC if you are into nice triggers. The Kahr is a very long DA pull and much harder to keep accurate compared to the light BP9CC pull (and the reset is.. better then my g19!). Sub 4lb stock trigger pull. 8 round capacity.

I had a nano as well, it was nice but the short grip and lower capacity actually led me to keep my CW9 over the nano. The cw9 was replaced by the Bersa. Only reason I got rid of it was the mag disconnect.. ugh..

My 9mm single stack CCW is a p239 w.srt. I can shoot it almost on par with my 229 w/srt.

The 239 is thicker then all of the above single stacks, but after putting 500rds through it in one day at the range, I'm sold on the trade-off of width for a duty quality single stack.

Finally got the Sig556 in last wednesday, only took 7 months to get here from SIG, OMG this thing is nice. Glad I got if over a standard AR. I love the AK style charging handle. Just need to accessories now, lol. Any suggestions? Shooting it this weekend if it doesn't rain.

I finally got to put about 75 rounds through my M&P9 last night. I don't mind the trigger at all (granted I don't know what an excellent trigger feels like), so I'm super happy with the purchase. Now to work on my atrocious aim....

buy some snap caps, have somebody else randomly place it in a magazine or two and mix the magazines up. Commence your target practice. At some point you will hit the snap cap and see how much you flinch when you pull the trigger. This will give you a good idea of how and where to improve.

Another exercise I do with first timers is a finger exercise. Following whichever rule it is, they are to acquire their target before placing their finger on the trigger. Once their finger is on the trigger and they have control of their breath, I want them to focus solely on pulling that trigger finger back and nothing else. The trigger sear will break when it breaks and the gun will go off. If you focus on that good enough that round will go exactly where the muzzle is pointed.

A lot of first time shooters will usually fire a really good shot their first shot, but once they have felt that recoil they start to anticipate it and flinch throwing their aim off. Focus on the trigger pull rather than a full body reaction and just let the gun do what it does. As long as you have a proper grip with arms bent, your body will take the recoil no problem.

Take your time and just remember to practice this every once in a while.

Anyone think AR stuff will dry up again after the tragedy that took place today?

EDIT: I didn't mean that to be in poor taste, hope I didn't offend anyone.
