One of the other forums I go to has one of these threads and I've been turned on to some good movies that other regulars just watched. I was kind of surprised not to see a similar thread here (at least not that I could find.) Big Grin

I just rewatched "Kinamand" - a cute drama about a Danish plumber who gets involved in an arranged marriage with a Chinese illegal. Good stuff (Netflix instant.)

So what have you folks watched recently?

Wow. Wickedly good movie out of Hong Kong. Drugs, cops, "good guys" with a dark side and "bad guys" with a good side.

Will definitely be watching it again soon.

Tron: Legacy I enjoyed it. Was a visually stunning movie, and story wasn't too terrible either. A sequel already in the works too. . .

Adventureland - I never heard of this movie until it was mentioned here recently. I didn't expect to like it much, but I loved it!

Have 127 Hours and American Psycho for the weekend.

Continuing with my latest HK kick:

Triple Tap [imdb.com]

Guns, cops, crime and dead people. This one is more than just a simple "shoot em up" bloodbath though. A very nice thriller.

Damn. Just spent a little over 2 hours suffering through The Twilight Samurai [imdb.com] and for the life of me, I'm trying to figure out how this movie garnered so many nominations, awards, and glowing reviews and ratings.

Seriously, 3/10 and that's being charitable due to Hiroyuki Sanada being in the movie (even though his character was terrible).
