I was in one of the Chicago land Sherwin Williams paint stores and was told that July 22-24th every item will be 40% off in the store. Supposedly this is chain wide. This is a price that is better than most tradesmen get. If its time to paint/stain your house this might be the best time to buy.

$10 off $50 coupon http://www.sherwin-williams.com/special-offers/sherwin/coupon/locator/?wid=510

That<HGTV> is just their Classic 99 paint line with a different label (and price)
-Actually it isn't. HGTV is 0 VOC while Classic 99 is not.

Typically it's not everything, rather 40% off paints and stains, 25% off painting supplies, etc. Still the best prices you will get. And yes, if the cashier will scan it, the $10/$50 coupon will stack. Just do a store locate on their site and the coupon will be under the map.

Just another heads up...with the newest HGTV line of paints I needed about 2 cups more paint to finish a wall section after using a gallon. They don't carry quarts in this line...I would have had to buy another gallon. I chose to go to Walmart and buy a quart of Better Homes paint which they color matched almost perfectly. Honestly, I liked the Better Homes paint more because it was just a touch thinner and went on much more easily.

I painted my entire house (new construction) in Classic 99 and to be honest I wasn't that impressed. I wish I would have went with the ColorPlace from Walmart instead. It would have saved a ton of money and it covered pretty much the same.

BTW - We did one room in Duration and I didn't think that was the bee's knees either, especially not for the price they wanted.

I just got done painting three large rooms in my home using Sherwin WIlliams paint....do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. The durability line of this brand has horrible coverage and is not durable at all.

After the fact, I checked Consumer Reports and this brand of paint was rated really low. I bought the paint during the 30% off and it was close in price to Behr from HD. Behr was rated highly by CR and will be the brand I try next.

Not trying to thread crap, just wanted to share my recent experience. On the positive side, the employees at Sherwin Williams have been very helpful and accomadating.

Again, this is just my two cents.

Its funny but I have the exact opposite experience and I know of others who would never buy Behr again. I really think the conditions affect how the paint works out for the person.

I feel same as you barhoc. I never trust anything CR says - the more $ the manufacturers throw at them, the higher their products are rated.
