Returning open box HDTV to target. Any one done this before?

I purchased a 46 inch magnavox hdtv at target on clearance for 476.00 up here in anchorage. Its a great tv but I found out that im not going to be able to bring it back home to colorado so Its been less than 90 days (like 50) so I should be able to return it right?

Do I need to give them a specific reason or just say I didnt like it or what?

Anyhelp would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, you'll have no problem. You don't need to give them a specific reason, just tell them you didn't like it.

Steve Gibson on password policies [grc.com]: I mean, I don't get this change it every eight weeks. ... It's not as if passwords are traveling by camel after they've been stolen, going to the bad guys, and so there's, like, some weird eight-week window, like, oh, we're going to change your password so that the stale password no longer works. ... And all this does is make IT people despised because users, who are not dumb, they think, why am I - why do I have to do this? What problem is this solving?

It's kind of a thing to do because that policy is really designed for defective items not inconvenient life changes. You will have to check the policy as it might be different on electronics or open box items.

You have 90 days to return it, but I would say it's defective. Never, never say "you don't like it or you don't want it! By saying that gives them reason to pre-judge (in their mind set saying why did you buy it then in the first place if you don't like it or don't want it?) Also the manager might come out of hidding to check it over too. Depends on the store you got it from.

I returned a display model to Target about 3-4 months ago. I just told the CS lady I changed my mind (which I did.) She had no questions at all.

Your lucky. Most of them will ask you why? Depends on who's at that store? What mood they're in? Etc.

Please, this is Costco. Their policy is "satisfaction guaranteed". An item does not need to be defective to not be satisfied and since satisfaction is in the eye of the buyer and the policy is vague, Costco will have no problem. This is completely within Costco's policy.

Yeah read the the title it's Target return not Costco. They have 14 days min on electronics not 90 days.

So went in and my girlfreind just said that " it didnt fit" ... granted we bought this 60 days ago so they kinda gave us a look like "seriously?". They called a manager over and they kinda gave us the same look but refunded it no problems.
