I tried reverting back to stock on my daughter's TP to take advantage of the $125 from Amazon for a like-new TP buy-back program (I am keeping mine, which I love). I tried the WebOs Doctor program, but didn't put my TP into recovery mode before connecting, and now it's been at 72% for several hours now. I am afraid to unplug it or try something for fear of bricking it. Anyone know what to try?
For starters, download another copy of the doctor, just in case yours is corrupt, then hard kill the TP and start over.
When it gets stuck like that, it's not going to resolve itself.

Did you say $125 buy back?
Wow. There must be a lot of people with some deep love for TP's.

Hey, here you are getting my a** out of the fire again. Hard kill, like Volume up and home button at the same time?
Here's the buy-back thread. $125 for a 32GB perfect condition, which I think is the case for my daughter's. Otherwise somewhat less. She's getting a new house and can use the cash:

I've done this 2 or 3 times myself and never had it hang so I know that it definitely shouldn't do that. If it were me, I'd just bite the bullet, start again and cross my fingers.

I wouldn't say it was totally risk free though

$125 cashback..No way..maybe $500 so I can trade it in for an iPad..but definately TP is worth alot more than $125 in my book.

I would take $125 for 16GB... that would be a profit for me actually but I feel gives a good representation of what it's worth... then I could put that towards one of those $200 tablets...

Speaking of which I have a brand new 32GB in box still (never opened) was gonna pop it open and android it up (gave my 16GB to my mom) think it's a better deal to hock it for a real android tablet?

I'm torn between two schools of thought.
When you consider how long the TP has been discontinued for, you'd think it was worth next to nothing, but on the other hand, it works like a charm and I don't think that any $200 10 inch tablet could surpass it.
Everything I've thrown at it, right up to the most graphically challenging game, the TP handles it all like a champ.
One of the reasons that I'm never tempted to change it for another Android tablet, is that none of them have the wireless dock like the TP has, and this business of dicking around with that tiny little wire after each usage, is a PITA. Not to mention that it's only a matter of time before the connectors on the wire or on the device itself, are going to wear out or break.
There's a really valid argument to be made for the TP having such a high value.
It's fast, smooth, does everything I ask it to do, and that Touchstone charger system makes it a cut above the rest.

On the flip side the case bubbles and makes charging it difficult and the aspect ratio is not 16:9 making some stuff work weird.

Also no HDMI out which would be nice as a video player....

I think I will probably keep it because it's not like I can't afford another tablet if I really want it... no reason to jump through the hoops for a slightly better comparable native android tablet...

You'll probably want to talk about that in the official Android on a Touchpad thread.
