Prayer Request Thread.

I'm changin my post now since my papaw is home and feeling better now. This thread is for anyone to use and post their own requests. Lux took my post from another thread and made this a separate thread just for that reason. Please do not hesitate to make requests cause you might be surprised at the support you will get from the loungers!!

Here is my original request...
Sorry I know this is off-topic but there seem to be some religious people in here right now.

Please say a prayer for my grandfather cause my mom just called and said he just called her and she is taking him to the emergency room. He is having pains (chest, I believe). It scares me cause he had a heart attack last summer and then a 5 bypass surgery. So now I'm heading to meet them at the hospital. Thanks!

I heart my Papaw!

Isn't it amazing that people can go home the same day after different surgeries now? I hope she's not in too much pain and is sleeping now.

Thanks! She is having a great, Vicodan induced nap at the moment. woot

Isn't it crazy? We had her at the urgent care clinic at 9am. From there we went to the ER and we brought her home at 9pm. I remember when it was a 4-5day stay in the hospital after that kind of surgery.

Please keep my friend and her family in your thoughts and prayers. Her mom has been battling a very rare blood disease and she was given two months to live.

My friend's mom has Hospice with her as of today. It was a very hard day for them and for all of us tht love them. If you haven't ever been though the process of setting up Hospice care for someone, it is mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually draining. My heart is heavy for the burden that they had to face today. The support from that wonderful program will help them to keep her comfortable and and support them as they enter this part of the circle of life. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. heart

The friend I spoke of in the previous post is really doing badly. It is just a matter of keeping her as comfortable as possible. I have seen enough of life and death to know that there are far worse things than dying. I don't want to miss a moment with her, but I know that she has no quality of life at this point. Please remember her in your thoughts and prayers. She is a very dear lady and it is heart breaking to see her in such misery.

Hospice is amazing. I'm amazed that my friend's mom is still hanging on and she is in so much pain. The hospice nurses and support staff have been there every step of the way and made sure we have enough supplies, help and love. Thanks for your prayers and please continue them. heart

I agree about Hospice. We only dealt with actually having people in the Hospice area at a hospital, instead of having someone come to them at home or elsewhere. But still, the staff was so helpful and nice. I've had three grandparents/great-grandparents who had to go to hospice. It really is difficult, accepting what it means for them to be there, but it's good to know they are doing everything they can to keep them comfortable. hug

My friends mom passed away at about 3:30 this morning. She is out of pain and I know that she is in a better place than me. It has been a wild ride since she went into hospice. Four of three of us have camped out for the last week and a half taking turns sitting with her. I've been taking the night shift. I notice that her breath slowed, so I woke up everyone and we were with her when she took her last one. Now to make her casket spray, and tend to the final details. Thank you for your prayers. She could have lingered for weeks, but a merciful God ended her suffering.

Comfort I am sorry for you loss even though I know she's now free of pain.
