Prayer Request Thread.

I'm changin my post now since my papaw is home and feeling better now. This thread is for anyone to use and post their own requests. Lux took my post from another thread and made this a separate thread just for that reason. Please do not hesitate to make requests cause you might be surprised at the support you will get from the loungers!!

Here is my original request...
Sorry I know this is off-topic but there seem to be some religious people in here right now.

Please say a prayer for my grandfather cause my mom just called and said he just called her and she is taking him to the emergency room. He is having pains (chest, I believe). It scares me cause he had a heart attack last summer and then a 5 bypass surgery. So now I'm heading to meet them at the hospital. Thanks!

I heart my Papaw!

Need the power of prayer right now for one of my daycare parents. She is a 26-year-old single mom to the sweetest 2 (almost 3) year old boy. She found out a couple of months back that she has stomach cancer. She completed one round of chemo right before the Christmas. After that round, the scan showed no change in the tumors. She is in the middle of her second round of a different kind of chemo, and won't know for about 3 more weeks if this treatment worked.

She never complains
She brings her son and picks him up every single day unless it is her treatment day
She is a true inspiration
She deserves to see her son grow into a man
Her son needs his mom
She needs a miracle...please pray for her and her family
Pray Comfort

The Drs. have decided that my FIL needs a pacemaker and have scheduled to put it in Friday morning. We are hoping that this keeps his heart in rhythm and gets him back "up and running".

Just wanted to give a quick update. Gram passed away on Friday, peacefully, and surrounded by her loved ones. Thanks for your prayers last weekend.

I hope it goes well for him; and that things improve with his heart; it will keep it ticking properly. Be prepared to take him back on a regular schedule for Pace Maker Check-Ups; it's a regular routine. You might want to print out a spreadsheet with his medications, and the information about his Pace Maker, Model #, etc, and who (Doctor) performed this, where and when. It's important if he should be hospitalized again. They will also give you or someone in the family a Pace Maker Card - make sure that is readily available. Sorry, been there for this; and so much information all at once. They may also give you a machine to put on his bedside table that will monitor the Pace Maker, as well. Wish I didn't know too much about this. God speed with his operation Hug2

I'm so sorry, but it sounds as though she went peacefully. I'm glad you were there to say goodbye. Comfort

Lots of great info. My stepfather has one and my MIL had one. My SIL lives with my FIL and she's a nurse, so we are very fortunate that she is there to help keep track of everything. Many of DH's family live in the neighborhood, so we take turns tending to him.

Comfort

My wife fell and broke her leg just above the ankle. They admitted her to the hospital because she is dehydrated. Probably why she fell.

Mom started her radiation treatments yesterday and one today so far no problems other than being really tired/drained.

Still have not got the results from the biopsy back yet but the drs said the treatments for her brain would be the same no matter what the biopsy showed. It will just help to classify and stage the cancer.

She may be able to go home saturday which she really wants to do.

My FIL came through surgery with flying colors! Unfortunately, my husband came down with a stomach bug llast night, after spending the day with him, so we are praying that my FIL doesn't get it as well.

Great and Cold news. Hope both feel better soon.

My wife is still in the hospital. They are waiting for insurance approval before moving her into a "skilled nursing facility" for aftercare until she is able to bear weight on her leg (2-3 weeks).

I was just about to ask after your wife. That's a bummer that she will have to go to rehab, but having daily PT will help her to recover faster, I'm sure.
