Good questions. The press release wasn't very informative. I doubt either, but one can hope. Personally 100min voice is even too much for me (esp with VoIP offerings and such).

I doubt they are going to allow wifi calling because that would defeat the purpose of their overage charges on minutes which is how they'll make a good bit of money. I know with their current $30 prepaid plan your wifi calling counts against your minutes.

Where did you see this? Are you referring to the plan being discussed? I use the DayPass with T-mobile and connect my laptop to my phone for data.

He wasn't talking about Tmobile's WiFi calling addon, he was talking about using a third party VOIP service.

It's actually up to $35/mo as of this summer. Alas, it is still quite a good deal, and I got on Virgin withing the past month. I used to have FamilyTalk through T-mobile, and this is much better.

If I had to describe my reception with my previous service with one word, it would definitely be shitty.

As for those of you suggesting buying apps for using VoIP apps, that is not necessary. I am using SipDroid, a free app which works quite well.

Here is a guide to using free VoIP over WiFi/3G/4G on Android: SipDroid Setup Guide [jesda.com].

I should point out that this was easy to setup, but if you manage to break it, it is a bit more challenging to restore functionality.

I hope this helps
