Received a text message this morning, but they switch me over to the 1500 minutes and text plan, so I had to call, and the CSR had to talked to a supervisor, but he was able to change the plan for me, with the same sim card, and same old phone number, everything went smoothly....

wootwootwoot

I aslo bought one of those phones. What does it take to get it onto Spot? Do I have to buy a Spot sim, and what do they cost? Is there any other startup charge?

I wish you could pay the $20 at once, instead of having to remember every 90 days.
You need to unlock the Samsung/ATT Go Phone, and you need to purchase a Spot Mobile SIM. I paid an eBay vendor $.99 for the unlock code for each phone, and I think I paid $10-$15 for each SIM with $5 of time included.

Do you have an app called "my account" ? Otherwise I think you can download it in the app store it will tell you your minutes remaining and the plan youre on

From your phone, you can enter the following and they won't use any minutes.

Check Balance: #BAL# / #225#
Check Minute Usage: #MIN# / #646#
Check Message Usage: #MSG# / #674#
Check Web Usage: #WEB# / #932#

Could someone tell me that if I sign for $30 plan, and have $50 in refill cards, how does Tmobile count the excess amount on refill card?

1. $50-$30 = $20 in balance to cover overages
2. Add in another $50, so total $100, good for 3 month plus $10?
3. Add 3 $50 cards at a time, then good for 5 month?

$50 has best discount, and available at various places, that's why I'm think about getting them.

First time on T-Mobile, how do you know when you have data? I'm used to seeing 3G or 4G, 1X, etc. Is it the small H on the signal bars?

H is high speed data (specifically, an HSPA connection.) E is Edge, T-Mobile's low speed connection. I think G is in between. Some ROMs / phones will display 2G, 3G, 4G instead.

Thanks! That cleared it all out.. Now just waiting for my port, apparently I didn't even need to call page plus. All i needed was to tell t-mobile and have my account number and pin. Hopefully it's a smooth process.

H-->E-->G, in that order. G stands for GPRS which is the slowest of the slow. I'm surprised they didn't phase it out completely when they launched EDGE.

GPRS=2G
EDGE=2.5G
HSPA=3G
HSPA+=3.5G (technically).

but T-Mobile also calls HSPA+ 4G.

Coming from sprint sero my only wish is I didn't switch sooner. Coverage is just add good. Speed is about 100x faster. I am getting 10-20 mbs when I was lucky to get .3 MBS on sprint.

I could have told you that. laugh out loud Dropped SERO in February. Coverage for me is actually BETTER (natively if you don't include SERO's ability to roam on Verizon etc.)

Aren't you glad that you're not paying a $10 "Premium data" fee each month anymore? Big Grin

LTE=3.8G
LTE Advanced=4G if, and only if, there is a ridiculous backend providing 100Mbit service; anything less is 3.999999999999999G

DERP technically.
