It happened to mine several times too. Last night it had 50% when I put it on touchstone. After 30 mins it left only 7% and TP was hot EEK!. I put it back on touchstone and it charged normally.
After I updated firmware, the battery drain issue has gone.

Not sure if anyone here actually uses it but..hulu Plus was updated yesterday and it FINALLY works natively on the TouchPad! bounce

Since then, I've been using an old modded version of the hulu Plus app from 2011. It has changed a lot since then, and the new app looks beautiful and runs great on the TouchPad! Simply uninstall the old one and reinstall the new one from Google Play.

I just saw that Cablevision has released their Optimum app for android. It says my HP TP is not a compatible device. The link from earlier in this thread for the apk did was removed. Does anyone know where/how I can get this app to work on my TP?

its been a while since ive updated my tablet and i figured now is the perfect time to update it Big Grin

im trying to look for the most stable version up to date but there are too many instructions and not very clear ones (or at least the ones ive ran across)

where and what should i update coming from a 4.0.4 (android version) and a CM version that says "9-20121111-NIGHTLY-tenderloin"?

The latest and greatest is the top file at this page [get.cm].
All you need to do is download it and flash it.
The other option is to go with CM10, Jelly Bean.

Anyone have any ideas on reviving a Touchpad that won't turn on or charge?

I have 4 touch pads on CM9 and three nook tablets on CM10.1

I leave the touch pads on CM9 for flash and ICS+ browser, which aren't available on CM10. If you don't care bout those two things, I'd go for CM10. If you want multiple user accounts, you'll need CM10. Otherwise, I don't see that much difference between the two

Do you have the original wall charger? Leave it plugged in / charging for a full day (or more). The Touchpad can be a fickle beast when it comes to low or depleted battery. It can also not get a charge from lower amp wall chargers or USB chargers.

When you attempt to turn it on you might need to hold down the power button for a full 15+ seconds (or even longer in some instances).

This is all anecdotal information from personal experience (love my Touchpad) and various forum posts. Good luck reviving your device.

Thanks. I don't have the original charger handy. I have the wall charger from my iPad I can try with a USB cable.

I would note that the Touchpad with CM9 sometimes behaves weird when you're trying to turn it on. Frequently (at least 10% of the time) I have to hold my power button down for 15 seconds or more to get it to turn on. Sometimes I have to do this twice in a row (ie: hold the power button down for 15 seconds... nothing happens... try again and it works!). Also try turning it on while it's plugged in to the charger.

No idea if there is a permanent fix (via latest and greatest CM9 nightlies) or if it's just the ghost in the machine that causes these issues.

I would try using the iPad charger as they're most likely a 1 amp charger and not the 0.5 amp that many older devices had as their standard.

Ok, its been many months since I updated the TP and thought I should update. I thought I had seen a link for latest stable version of CM10 somewhere but can't seem to find it. It's not even in the Wiki. Has it been removed?

Also just to confirm, once I get hold of CM10, I just install it CWM just like updating CM9, correct? Any steps to clear out any out data/cache in order to make it a clean install?

I just flashed mine like a nightly.
You can download it here [goo.im].
Naturally, you should take the most recent one.
