Here are just the few that I think are more wide appealing. There are tons of games available for lots of different genres. I know it's unfair to compare the number of apps to WebOS since it's so new but that's just the way it is. Like saying there's 10x more apps for the iPhone than Android (or whatever the number is).
Thanks for the list, good starting point. I didn't realize there were so many that were tablet-ready.

Think there should be a must-have app/game list in the wiki or are there enough Android threads for that?

OK so here's an uneducated question: what are the big name apps (optimized for tablets, not a stretched phone app) on the Android marketplace that don't exist on the WebOS? Why should WebOS users run to Android? Having used apps on Android, iOS, and WebOS, the ones in the Android marketplace had the poorest quality and consistency...
Koi Pond doesn't look stretched on my device.

Aside from the extensive marketplace, my android TP just runs faster. I hated how I would sit there and wait for apps to load on WebOS. Don't have that problem at all with any app on android.

Definitely looking forward to putting android on a touchpad. Haven't bought mine yet (keep looking at ebay), but I found a place that's giving away a few so wanted to try that first. Just a quick question...is webos that bad?

Nope. Functionality and usability is on par with Android...the main reason people wanted Android on this instead of webOS is due to the lack of apps for webOS.

I put Android (CM7) on my TP and I notice that it makes some kind of sound/noise about once per hour (not on the hour, quarter hour or half hour). Anyone have this problem. I have no idea what app/widget cause it because I have nothing running and the screen is off.

Are you receiving emails? It plays a noise when you get a new one.

No emails but it doesn't matter at this point. The wifi is acting up. I can use the browser without problem but market, google+ app and other say there is no connection.

Normally you press the "Menu" button on the OSD (the one that looks like 3 lines) and the program might have an "Exit" option (like in Pandora). If it doesn't you just have to hit the "Home" button and hope that it exits.

For apps that refuse to die:

The long way is something something terminal.

The short way is to download a free app called Advanced Task Killer. Android has this nasty habit of leaving certain apps running or randomly starting ones up, which can eat up precious battery life.
NO, NO, NO. App killers are totally unnecessary and usually are a waste of resources. They are the equivalent of "RAM Optimizes" on windows. Google specifically recommends they not be used on Android 2.2 and above. The Touchpad is running 2.3 so it is unnecessary and counter productive to run one. Please read the following links to learn how the Android memory management actually works and why you dont need a task killer app.

Services will "eat battery" because it's a service, but apps in the background will not. Please don't spread false information.

Thanks.
yes

Is widget a "service" or an "app"? For example, if I put "news and weather" widget on my home panel, does it go out and get the headlines even when the screen is off?
Depends. Some apps have widgets that you can set if you want. These act like a service in that they are always kind of running (Not really true they have different update times say every hour for weather, etc) Most widgets will update if you screen is off, some have settings to only update or always update when you turn on your screen. There is no hard and fast rule as far as I know.

My WiFi was acting up yesterday but it is OK now after several shutdown/reboot. Question about the WiFi icon on the system tray. When Market/Google+ apps indicate there is no connection, the icon is gray but it does show the signal strength with the topmost bar has lighter gray than the rest. When it is working 100%, the icon is green. What does it mean when it is gray?

I believe if you've downloaded the SDK, it installs under All Programs>Palm, Inc

no such luck. novacom isn't showing up anywhere in my system. Can anyone tell me, what is the easiest way to upload android on my touchpad? Does anyone have a straightforward, clear way to install this???
Thanks in advance for your help.
