I lost 2 bigadv projects... both clients died trying to send work.
When I restarted them - they just got new project and went ahead with it. Never received a credit for either. It was like 150k Frown

Does everyone think 31049 PPD for P6900 (TPF 29:13) good for 2600k 4.5GHZ?

I checked some other rigs and they seem to have higher PPDs with the same GHZ... just wanted to see what you guys think.

tanner2,
Your PPD is crazy Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

Btw, I'm thinking about building a new rig next month and would like to build based on recommendations for FaH. How much power will 2xi7 eat? Just trying to think of a monthly electric bill lol
Or i7 is not a good route?

Ok, so Ive finished my fresh install of Windows 7 64-bit. Now Im trying to setup the SMP client again. The CPU isnt running at 100% and Ive flagged it just fine. I swear Ive tried everything. Is there a different client for 64-bit OS's?

How do you start your SMP client?

can always try the v7 client
http://foldingforum.org/viewtopic...67&t=18302
https://fah-web.stanford.edu/proj...etaRelease

It downloads next wu when you are at 99% done on current wu and uploads the completed wu after it starts the next wu so not folding time is down to a couple of minutes.

./fah6 -smp -advmethods

I generally get about 33K for a P6900 on my 2600k @ 4.3 GHz, but that is only if the computer is doing nothing else. If you have other stuff running or do a lot of surfing etc. that sounds about right.

It may have been the smp 7 so I just placed it at smp which should use all cores. Half the day I would not be on it because of work and sleep so it seems to have higher PPD now.
