I have $2100 to spend on any laptop. NJ tax (7%) must be included.
Can someone point me in the right direction? I lose anything under $2100, so as close to that price as possible is best for me. It does not need, necessarily, a top of the line gaming graphics card.
- 15/17" screen (at least 720 resolution, prefer 1080)
- Not excessively heavy (which may rule out Alienware?)
- Backlit keyboard, webcam
- Boot drive is SSD, at least 100GB
- Latest i7 processor
- 8GB ram
Any other cool stuff that could go into a laptop with a $2100 budget?
I would love suggestions of brands, models, etc. I am THINKING Lenovo -- they have always satisfied me.
-The San Francisco Bay Area, commonly known as the Bay Area, is a metropolitan region that surrounds the San Francisco bay in Northern California.
-The Bay Area is home to approximately 7.2 million people.
-The San Francisco Bay Area is one of the wealthiest regions in the U.S.
The OP has to clarify what he wants to use the laptop for. If it's gaming, that's one thing (and 2100 will go quickly). If it's general all purpose computing, the Mac idea is good, a business class Dell or Lenovo is good, etc. He mention that he doesn't need a top of the line graphics card, but then mentioned Alienware as a possibility.
So OP what are you thinking of doing with this $2100 laptop, how long do you want to keep it, are you more interested in carrying it around or keeping it on a desk, etc.
