Deleting text before receiver reads it on Iphone

254 14 December 27, 2011 at 10:39 AM
I sent a text to someone. I changed my mind after I sent it. It will be a while before they open it. Is there anyway to delete the text before they read it? Please help!!

It's Iphone 4 to Iphone 4.

Thank you!

Not possible.

Hope it's not going to cost you your job or spouse.

Steely blue eyes with no love in them scan the world
And a humourless smile with no warmth within greets the world

Not much you can do, unless you sent it with Tigertext or something.

It's Iphone 4 to Iphone 4.

Thank you!

1: Invite them out to the bar. "Accidentally" knock their iPhone to the floor, then step on it, real HARD and smash it.

2: Send them more texts, in fact, send them so MANY texts, that your original gets "lost" in the bunch, and they delete all of them because they can't possibly read all of them. If they wonder why you sent so many, tell them you only sent 1, and there must have been a glitch that cloned them all. Then pray, and you might get lucky and they'll never know.

That's actually a great idea. iOS stores texts like a conversation...so if you send the same message over and over, the person reading them will assume that the whole conversation is just you (or your phone) sending the same message over and over again. Chances are they will either delete the entire conversation or not bother to scroll to the top to see the original message.

There is a website called 'textsfromlastnight.com'. It has funny texts that people accidentally send, and stuff like that.
Call up the person, tell them that you found the sight and you really had a great idea for a funny text, and ask them to go post your txt message on there for you.

I've actually had this happen to me before..my g/f sent me one text, but after I responded, I repeatedly got the same text message over and over. I think I received the same exact message like 15 times. I eventually ignored it haha.

Sending a new message over and over is actually a pretty great idea. I would think that's your best bet unless they have already read it. Then you'll just look like an even bigger idiot.
