60k link (after you log in, or you will only see 40k)

You need at least 1 Mile in your United account to get this offer.

"This one-time bonus offer is only valid for first-time United MileagePlus Explorer cardmembers with new accounts. Previous and existing United Airlines cardmembers/accounts are not eligible for this bonus offer."

Not true. I was an existing Mileage Plus Visa card holder (from Feb '11). They approved my application and then when I called customer service to verify the promotion points they said it was 50k after 1st purchase PLUS 20k after 1st purchase and adding an additional user. So 70k points after first purchase (and added my girlfriend as a card user).

Transfer your miles between CO and UA here:http://www.continental.com/web/en...nHome.aspx

You can also transfer points from a Chase Ultimate Rewards account for all you Sapphire cardholders out there. (minimum transfer: 1000pts)

No. I signed up under original 50K plan about 5 weeks ago. 2-3 weeks ago, I asked nicely for a bump to include the $50 credit via SM which they approved about a week later. Yesterday I asked for a bump for the additional 5K miles and they did. My first statement has yet to close but I'm a pretty happy Chase customer. This is in addition to 2X10K Ink Bold bumps.
To have extra 5k for adding additional member, I need to call in correct? is there a promo code i need to mention?

Thanks

Should work via SM too. I told them that I saw a better offer when logging into United.com, which I had.

which option did you guys choose on the drop down when sending a secure message to ask about the $50 credit?

I tried under rewards inquiry and received the following:

I have forwarded your message to the appropriate
department for review and you should receive a response
within 7 business days.

If you require immediate assistance, please contact the
number listed below and either myself, or one of my
colleagues will be able to assist you. For your
convenience, we are available to assist you 24 hours a
day.

Is everyone else receiving a positive reply within a few hours?

I got the same message initially and then it took them 2-3 days after then to confirm that they will apply that offer to my account. I would say just wait for a couple of days and you will receive another message to confirm.

I can see the 50k mileage already showing up on my account. But when I book a flight, I don't see anything about "Super Saver" or "apply your free mileage" type of message. I went as far as choosing the seats but still didn't see anything.

you have to select "award" travel at the bottom of your reservation before to tell it to find flights

If only the standard award seat is available then yes. If you can find the saver reward seats (far left column), then it is 25,000 RT.

I wonder how many of the saver reward seats are available usually. I booked a flight last year and had to use 50k and that was just austin to lv roundtrip.

You have to get them pretty far in advance. Airlines release seats 11 months in advance. When we wanted to go to HI, I got my 4 seats (on the same flights) the day they were released at the saver level to ensure we got the exact flights/dates we wanted.

If anyone knows, if I book a flight and decide later that won't be able to take the trip, can I cancel the flight and get the miles back in the account? - Thanks
