Scanning from Epson Workforce 845

I have an Epson Workforce 845 all in one. I have it connected to my wifi network. I can print from my Mac and PC. I would like to be able to scan, over wireless, to both computers. I feel like I used to be able to do this. Now when I click scan on the printer's touch screen I only have the option to scan to a USB connected computer. Any ideas on how to scan over wifi?

Are there any settings for the scanner that allow it to point to a network device? Scanner software usually looks locally first and it may need to be set to look on the network after looking locally.

I've got an epson 610 and it sounds like you need to re-install the vendor software in order to have that option. Once you run it, you can either initiate the scan from the PC or from the control panel of the printer.

Agreed, this sounds more like a "pull" scenario; if you have the full featured drivers installed on the pc (that you want to receive the scans), see if going through that software allows you to more-or-less 'pull' the scan over the network.

Thanks for your help. I reinstalled the drivers on the Macbook and suddenly both my PC and Macbook show up as options to scan to. Thanks! I'd rep you all, but once upon a time this thread started life out as a chat thread in The Lounge and now I can't rep. Sorry.
