Deal Details

This same deal for $341 + shipping seemed pretty popular yesterday so I figured I'd post this one too. No CC fees.

Ruger LC9 pistol w/Lasermax for $349 with free shipping. [gunbuyer.com]

Quote :
The LC9 is a double-action-only, hammer-fired, locked-breech pistol with a smooth trigger pull. Control and confident handling of the Ruger LC9 are accomplished through reduced recoil and aggressive frame checkering for a positive grip in all conditions. The Ruger LC9 features smooth "melted" edges for ease of holstering, carrying and drawing and now matched with the LaserMax laser it makes for a personal protection pistol.
(Also, this product currently doesn't ship with HDMI. Sorry if that's a dealbreaker for some.)

Yup, PITA though they are. I envy those lucky folks who get 'em done for cheap/free.

Looks like a great deal. A quick search shows the lc9 without the laser for $10 more.

Very tempting for a concealed carry, and ill take a 9 mm over a 380 anyday. Could potentially replace my current Taurus p145 if its light enough (the p145 with a full clip is heavy for a pocket carry).

Decisions decisions...

only concerns with guns like these is the DAO, i would really want to fire it first, as some guns like Kel-Tec DAO's trigger pull SUCKED.

I did get in on the deal from Wednesday night, but I wonder why these are dropping in prices.

I'm on the hunt for a CC gun myself... with luck I should have my license in early April. FWIW, the gun's 17.1oz unloaded.

You could always change that; I've heard the work involved isn't too difficult if you're so inclined.

I wouldn't consider this that much of a price drop; just a different retailer offering a similar deal. (But with free shipping!) Maybe they want to clear out their stock or something?

I have handled several of these, the trigger is long, but smooth, the sights are very good and easy to see. If you are used to a long DOA trigger, this should be easily manageable. If you are used to a short 1911 or striker fired trigger, get a Walther PPS.

6 months ago I purchased an LC9 kit at Academy. It came with a hard case, and 2 magazines for $379. I love it, and I can't believe the price on this deal with a laser. If you get this and want to order a second magazine, copes distributing is the one place I found that has them in stock.

Excellent deal here.

Does anybody know how this would compare to the Ruger SR9c 9mm? I've been narrowing my gun purchase down to a single conceal carry gun, and am ready to purchase any time now. This is about $70 cheaper and comes with a laser sight vs the SR9c. I have my conceal carry certificate submitted, and will probably receive my license in about 3 more weeks. What kind of process is it to obtain a handgun in Michigan without a license handy? Thanks.

Wow, seems like a good deal.
I was looking at the sig 239 for a CC but this is almost half the price.
Plus the laser is a bonus.

In Michigan if you don't have your CPL you'll need to get a License to Purchase (http://www.state.mi.us/MSP/CJIC/Firepur.htm), which depending on your local LEAs could take more time and involve more hassle than waiting for your carry permit. Order your gun and pre-inform your FFL that you'll wait until you get your CPL to pick it up, since you really don't want to be carrying without the CPL anyway. If he/she isn't OK with that, there are more FFLs out there.

This is a nice package, by the way. It's not a SIG, but Rugers will generally eat anything, the laser adds a nice touch and the long pull could be a safety advantage, particularly if this were to be used as a 'purse' gun by a relative newbie (thinking this might be nice for wifey).
