I didn't realize you can post things like this in The Lounge.... Which car should I get (or which cars should I definitely take off my long list)?

I know I am all over the place with my current options, but I'm looking to get a new car in a couple months and I can't seem to focus.

In no specific order:

  1. Lincoln MKZ - I was initially thinking of the Hybrid initially, but plugging in my car (and remembering to do so) seems like too much trouble. laugh out loud
  2. Cadillac ATS - 0% financing for up to 72 months is very attractive, but that might end at the end of April
  3. Volvo S60 - the first brand new car I ever got was a Volvo (many, many years ago)
  4. Lexus ISC - everyone needs a convertible, no?
  5. Mercedes CLA250
  6. Mercedes C250
  7. BMW 328i - I believe this is mandatory on all car lists. Dontknow
  8. Lexus ES350

To prove how all over the place I am (and was), I even considered looking at the 2015 Hyundai Genesis for maybe 10 minutes. Roll

Updated list:

2014 BMW 328i Sedan
2014 Mercedes-Benz C250 C250 Luxury Sedan
2014 Audi A4 4dr Sdn Auto quattro 2.0T Premium
2014 Volvo S60 4dr Sdn T5 Premier AWD
2014 Cadillac ATS 2.0L I4 AWD
2014 Infiniti Q50 AWD (just because MLV feels I've short changed Infinitis and I should give them a shot)

Honorable mention:
2014 Lincoln MKZ 4dr Sdn AWD

Genesis isn't really a bad car.. My buddy has the R-Spec and loves it. Though, he's looking at a significant upgrade after he's done with it.

I'm not a huge Lincoln fan.
The ATS is nice, but prefer the CTS, particularly the CTS-V.
S60 isn't a bad option.
Eww, Lexus. :yuck:
CLA > C250
You won't hear me argue against 328i for obvious reasons.

OP apparently likes to fall asleep while driving, based on most of the options.

None of those excite me too much (definitely not the Lincoln or the ES). I like the Volvo S60, but it's not that much of a "driver's" car, is it? I've actually been considering one, even though it has a high percentage of women owners. laugh out loud

We tried to like Lexus, but the RX wasn't sporty enough (we went with Infiniti EX when SUV-shopping); the ES is Yawn. The IS is better, but we'd pick a G (or new equivalent) instead.

Caddy is probably the most fun (other than the 328) of the list, no?

I wasn't a huge Lincoln fan either, but the MKZ on paper, on-line and in videos at least looks pretty decent IMO.
CTS-V is roughly double the price of the ATS, so I'd prefer it too, but I can't justify paying $70k for a car.
What's wrong with Lexus?? Seriously.

So you only drive sports cars? Do you like the feel of the wind in your hair? Oh wait, sorry. LMAO BTW what's the speed limit near you, grandpa? laugh out loud FYI I had a Corvette a while back, but as great as it was, it was a cop magnet and I was never really able to take advantage of its full potential.

I like sporty cards...cornering hard, accelerating quickly. But I typically set the cruise control to about 7 mph over the speed limit (typically 65, some 70 on the highways here). The Infinity G (Q whatever now) is a great fit, IMO, for me: reliable, sporty, lots of bells-n-whistles, reasonably comfortable. I love Acuras and might consider the outgoing TSX if I don't fall in love with the upcoming TLX.

Agreed on all accounts.

Glorified Toyota. The "boring" of the luxury brands. They aren't big on focusing on performance except for some models like the IS which can be fun. IMO, there are just much better sport-luxury sedans than anything that Lexus offers.
