Welcome to the New Main Kmart Deals Thread!!

Shopping at KMart can be an adventure! Even if you're a seasoned couponer, KMart still can be quite a learning curve. Please take a moment to read the FAQ. Most repeated questions that are asked in the thread, can be found below

Thanks to Serra, we now have 4 Wikis for the KMart thread, which will hopefully make the information a lot easier to navigate.

This is Wiki #1, and it will give you a quick tutorial on shopping at KMart. Wiki #2 will contain the latest highlights & matchups for the current week ad. Wiki #3 will contain the latest highlight & matchups for the current monthly ad. Last but not least, Wiki #4 will contain our Cheapies, Clearance, and Catalina finds

SHOPPING AT KMART FAQ

SYWR Card = Shop Your Way Rewards Card. A KMart Savings Card that you must sign up for if you want to take advantage of deals here! Earn 10 points for every dollar you spend. You can redeem the points at a rate of 1,000 points = $1. Points can be redeemed at KMart, Sears, and Lands End. You must have an email address on your account to earn bonus offers - if you do not have an email address, you will typically only earn base points (no bonuses). It is definitely worthwhile to use a valid email address to receive special email promotions; some are quite generous. As a bonus-level member, you're eligible for additional Bonus Offers and other perks and rewards. Your SYWR card will be suspended if you do multiple back-to-back transactions (this number changes regularly but you're usually safe at around 5 transactions) on the same register and with the same cashier. If you plan on doing more than a few transactions, it's best to do a few with one cashier at one register and a few with a different cashier at a different register - even if you have to go to the service desk. This is a security feature designed to prevent cashiers from using a member's account to rack up points and then redeem them for their own benefit. If your card is suspended, you will still earn points for your purchases, but you cannot redeem them until the suspension has been lifted. To have the suspense lifted, contact SYWR Customer Service, call 1.800.991.8708, Monday - Sunday, 8 am - 11 pm, Central Standard Time.

SYWR VIP Levels = The SYWR Card offers several VIP levels based on your annual spend (calcuated before coupons!). Each level comes with different "benefits".

Bonus Member: $0 to $2499.99 annual spend at KMart, Sears, or Lands End (with email address on account)

Silver VIP Level: $2500 to $4999.99 annual spend at KMart, Sears, or Lands End.

•Treat yourself to 5X Points during your birthday month.

•Get an exclusive twice-yearly savings book with additional offers from the departments you shop in most

Gold VIP Level: $5000 to $9999.99 annual spend at KMart, Sears, or Lands End.
•Earn 10X Points on special Bonus Days throughout the year.
•Treat yourself to 10X Points during your birthday month.
•Earn 5X Points online for special Cyber Bonus Days.
•Get an exclusive twice-yearly savings book with additional offers from the departments you shop in most.

Platinum VIP Level: $10,000+ annual spend at KMart, Sears, or Lands End.

SYWR BONUS POINTS OFFERS =
You must have an email address on your account to earn bonus offers
KMart runs deals weekly strictly for SYWR members, and often times those offers include earning bonus points on certain purchases. These offers can be confusing, but if you follow the guidelines below, everything should work in your favor. If an offer states "Recieve a COUPON for $X (X points) when you spend $X on ____", KMart counts the amount towards this threshold BEFORE any coupons are used. However, if the offer simply states "Recieve XX bonus points ($X value) when you spend $X on ____" then KMart requires you to spend the necessary amount AFTER coupons are redeemed. Clear as mud, right? Just remember if you see the word COUPON, it means total BEFORE Qs.

CRT = Cash Register Tape Coupon. Prints after reciept. Usually a $/$ that you can roll into the next transaction. Generally speaking P&G CRT's are the only ones that do not roll. You can only redeem one CRT per transaction. Redeeming a CRT does not negate another CRT from printing.

CAT = Catalina (Red/White Coupon). Comes from the Catalina machine at the end of your purchase. Always make sure the Catalina machine is on, and note that the Customer Service Desks DO NOT have these machines. As long as a CAT says MFR COUPON at the top, you should be able to redeem along with a CRT. If the CAT says STORE COUPON, you can NOT combine with a CRT in the same transaction.

CSP= Check Shelf Price. When an item scans CSP, the item should be 50%-90% off. For more info read Kmart 101 by adawn80

SUPER COUPONS= KMart issues "Super Coupons" in both their weekly and monthly ads. In order to use the Super Coupons, you must use your SYWR Card.

Weekly Super Coupons: Limits are stated in each Q, and the Q will either be for a specific price, or take off a specific dollar amount for each item that attaches to the coupon. For example, if the coupon is for $1 off a widget, limit 5, when your card is scanned, your total will be reduced by $5 if you are buying 5 widgets.

Monthly Super Coupons: You must spend $25 in grocery, health or beauty care to use. Total is calculated before manufacture's coupons, but after Kmart Store coupons. The item you are using the coupon on does NOT count toward the $25 total. All monthly super coupons are a limit of 1 per transaction, however you can do multiple transactions and use additional coupons, as long as you meet the $25 threshold for each transaction.

And by autscanning I assume you mean attaching properly to the item and taking off the actual amount. Kmart registers NEVER automatically deduct for the full amount like CVS and Target do.
Yes, I will add that.

All the stores I checked were cleaned out of Lego clearance, if they ever existed.

At least it goes to March 11 . . . I'm pretty sure the clearance sign in my Local said that.

Picked up a Star Wars ATST for $16 (half off $32), which was $11 after $5 in free SYWR points, and then got a lego Star Wars sith racer (not sure the exact name) for $11 (half off $22), which came to $8 after $3 in free SYWR points.

I had $3 in SYWR points that would expire tomorrow so I made a quick run to KM just to use them up. I got a cat for $5 in points when I spend $35. The ad this week has my head swimming. There's the $5 off wyb $15 in Reese's/Nabisco, $3 in points for spending $30 in pet products, $10 off coupon for spending $30 in P&G, and of course the $5 award card for spending $50. I also toyed with the idea of the $10 in points for spending $50 in housewares.

Somewhere there's a good deal in there and I can't wrap my brain around it and find things that I need and have MQ's for. I know there's a P&G $15 rebate out there too. If anybody has a great deal figured out, please toss me a clue? Thanks.

I'm thinking the only way I can make a good deal out of the P&G is to use the 2 Pantene bogo Q's that I have. But I have so much shampoo already that I really don't need it. It would have to be a MM for me to buy it.

Kmart, why do you taunt me?

At the 2 kmarts I shop at now they are big on typing in the amnt for a bogo q and pulling up the pick item coupon screen since scanning the new barcodes doesn't usually work properly (EDIT when scanning many of the bogo q's it was making them pick 2 items for the "pick item" screen before she could close the window or not being able to scan the GS1 at all). One cashier told me she was told by her manager she has to type in the amount of the item, I actually prefer this as they *usually* only pick 1 item so I can use another q w/a bogo. However sometimes you get a stickler who will pick 2 on the item screen and you will only get $7.99, sorry for the clear as mud answer Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

It's been 3-4 months since I've stepped foot in a Kmart and I'm planning on going next week for the multiple deals.
I have a quick question for the faithful Kmart shoppers out there.
How do P&G BOGO mq's scan at kmart? I can't remember if we get FULL value for them.

I'm specifically wondering because of the sale on Gillette disposables.
Gillette disposable sale $7.99
B1G1 Gillette Disposable Razor (3/31/13) RP 02/03/13--Max value $11.99
$2/1 Gillette male disposable 3/3 P&G(exp. 3/31/13)
$2/1 Gillette female disposable 3/3 P&G (exp. 3/31/13)
From what I remember, if the register scans the $x/x coupon first and then the BOGO, both will go through. I have receipts from last fall with pantene showing I used a $1/2 with a BOGO. Personally, I'm hoping pantene will be buy one get one 50% off next week. That would turn into a money maker as register's take off the full price of the item if it is buy one get on 50% off.
