Welcome to the New Main Kmart Deals Thread!!

Shopping at KMart can be an adventure! Even if you're a seasoned couponer, KMart still can be quite a learning curve. Please take a moment to read the FAQ. Most repeated questions that are asked in the thread, can be found below
.

Thanks to Serra, we now have 4 Wikis for the KMart thread, which will hopefully make the information a lot easier to navigate.

This is Wiki #1, and it will give you a quick tutorial on shopping at KMart. Wiki #2 will contain the latest highlights & matchups for the current week ad. Wiki #3 will contain the latest highlight & matchups for the current monthly ad. Last but not least, Wiki #4 will contain our Cheapies, Clearance, and Catalina finds
.

SHOPPING AT KMART FAQ

SYWR Card = Shop Your Way Rewards Card. A KMart Savings Card that you must sign up for if you want to take advantage of deals here! Earn 10 points for every dollar you spend. You can redeem the points at a rate of 1,000 points = $1. Points can be redeemed at KMart, Sears, and Lands End. You must have an email address on your account to earn bonus offers - if you do not have an email address, you will typically only earn base points (no bonuses). It is definitely worthwhile to use a valid email address to receive special email promotions; some are quite generous. As a bonus-level member, you're eligible for additional Bonus Offers and other perks and rewards. Your SYWR card will be suspended if you do multiple back-to-back transactions (this number changes regularly but you're usually safe at around 5 transactions) on the same register and with the same cashier. If you plan on doing more than a few transactions, it's best to do a few with one cashier at one register and a few with a different cashier at a different register - even if you have to go to the service desk. This is a security feature designed to prevent cashiers from using a member's account to rack up points and then redeem them for their own benefit. If your card is suspended, you will still earn points for your purchases, but you cannot redeem them until the suspension has been lifted. To have the suspense lifted, contact SYWR Customer Service, call 1.800.991.8708, Monday - Sunday, 8 am - 11 pm, Central Standard Time.

SYWR VIP Levels = The SYWR Card offers several VIP levels based on your annual spend (calcuated before coupons!). Each level comes with different "benefits".

Bonus Member: $0 to $2499.99 annual spend at KMart, Sears, or Lands End (with email address on account)

Silver VIP Level: $2500 to $4999.99 annual spend at KMart, Sears, or Lands End.

•Treat yourself to 5X Points during your birthday month.

•Get an exclusive twice-yearly savings book with additional offers from the departments you shop in most

Gold VIP Level: $5000 to $9999.99 annual spend at KMart, Sears, or Lands End.
•Earn 10X Points on special Bonus Days throughout the year.
•Treat yourself to 10X Points during your birthday month.
•Earn 5X Points online for special Cyber Bonus Days.
•Get an exclusive twice-yearly savings book with additional offers from the departments you shop in most.

Platinum VIP Level: $10,000+ annual spend at KMart, Sears, or Lands End.

SYWR BONUS POINTS OFFERS =
You must have an email address on your account to earn bonus offers
KMart runs deals weekly strictly for SYWR members, and often times those offers include earning bonus points on certain purchases. These offers can be confusing, but if you follow the guidelines below, everything should work in your favor. If an offer states "Recieve a COUPON for $X (X points) when you spend $X on ____", KMart counts the amount towards this threshold BEFORE any coupons are used. However, if the offer simply states "Recieve XX bonus points ($X value) when you spend $X on ____" then KMart requires you to spend the necessary amount AFTER coupons are redeemed. Clear as mud, right? Just remember if you see the word COUPON, it means total BEFORE Qs.

CRT = Cash Register Tape Coupon. Prints after reciept. Usually a $/$ that you can roll into the next transaction. Generally speaking P&G CRT's are the only ones that do not roll. You can only redeem one CRT per transaction. Redeeming a CRT does not negate another CRT from printing.

CAT = Catalina (Red/White Coupon). Comes from the Catalina machine at the end of your purchase. Always make sure the Catalina machine is on, and note that the Customer Service Desks DO NOT have these machines. As long as a CAT says MFR COUPON at the top, you should be able to redeem along with a CRT. If the CAT says STORE COUPON, you can NOT combine with a CRT in the same transaction.

CSP= Check Shelf Price. When an item scans CSP, the item should be 50%-90% off. For more info read Kmart 101 by adawn80

SUPER COUPONS= KMart issues "Super Coupons" in both their weekly and monthly ads. In order to use the Super Coupons, you must use your SYWR Card.

Weekly Super Coupons: Limits are stated in each Q, and the Q will either be for a specific price, or take off a specific dollar amount for each item that attaches to the coupon. For example, if the coupon is for $1 off a widget, limit 5, when your card is scanned, your total will be reduced by $5 if you are buying 5 widgets.

Monthly Super Coupons: You must spend $25 in grocery, health or beauty care to use. Total is calculated before manufacture's coupons, but after Kmart Store coupons. The item you are using the coupon on does NOT count toward the $25 total. All monthly super coupons are a limit of 1 per transaction, however you can do multiple transactions and use additional coupons, as long as you meet the $25 threshold for each transaction.

It seems that the Viva paper towels is triggering the $10 CRT but as usual, that's not what their ad says. Truly frustrating. So, what's the $50 GC promotion about? That's a nice deal! Big Grin

I redeemed over $40 in points yesterday no bonus points on the receipt. Since it is Kmart I am not holding my breath on this one, I only redeemed them on stuff I needed just in case it did't work.
It was a fiasco for sure. The store I went to had a long line at customer service trying to make the points work. On mine, if I just redeemed 20,000 points (like the coupon said) I did not get extra points. But if I redeemed all 40,000 then it only took 20,000 from my account. They should have been clear, and let the store employees know how to do it.

I bought soft soap in another transaction and Irish Spring in a transaction. I paid with a $10 CRT. I did not get 5,000 points. Would using the CRT keep me from getting points?

Any scenarios for this week? I haven't gone yet, and have several of the $10/$10 from last week's P&G so I need to get busy! I will do the cottonelle/scott deal, and also the Irish Spring spend $15 get $5 deal.
Did that work for you? I did the Irish Spring deal and used the $10 P&G CRT and did not get points.

It's just another Kmart promo not working. I tried the speedstick the other day with no coupons and still did not get the points

I have the Scott $10 CRT for this week, but not sure what to buy to keep it rolling (thinking like CVS). Can I do another Scott-$10 CRT using my CRT? Any other good ideas besides buying what I need?

just want to thank everyone in this thread, appreciate all the help.

Well dang. I had read that the speed stick wasn't working. So I should have known.

Kmarts are 50% off clearance prices on toys again. I have 2 Kmarts in the same city I go to and both were completely different on the things they had on clearance but keep your eyes out. Was only looking for small rewards for my daughter but the 3 things I found was a 12 pack of metallic and neon playdoh colors for $5, a Guess What I Am! game for $3.50, and a game for her LeapPad at $9 called Pixar Pals.

I think the Irish Spring deal was to get $5 off instantly when you spent $15, but of course it did not work for me. My bill was so low, and the grumpy lady was at CS so I didn't even bother with it.

It was $5 in points. You could still email or call SYWR and see about getting the points. They will probably be busy for awhile. Yesterday's match points deal was a disaster.

I guess they count the CRT as a coupon.

Has anyone found any great new deals on the 50% off clearance toys? I went to my store but the only toys marked clearance are the same ones that were there a while back when they had the same sale. They are slow to mark clearance items at my store and I never know what is on clearance unless I scan each and every item.
