It is ridiculous how low Android tablets have gotten, but this one is the best bang for the buck in recent memory.
I remember when just the glass for the screen on a tablet like this was more than $100 by itself, but this entire tablet is a grand total of $69.99 with shipping included.

Here's the link to the product page and some highlights are below.

For those who want a faster cpu and 1GB of RAM, http://www.mcbub.com/item/Dual-co...4--147239/ is selling for $144 and features a dual core Cortex A9 CPU 1.5GHz clock speed
1 X 512KB L2 cache
Dual core, Mali400 GPU w/1 X 64KB cache 400MHz

The other chip which is slightly faster is the RK3066 which has the same dual core Cortex A9 but has quad core Mali400 GPU running at 250MHZ each. Unfortunately, MCbub does not have this tablet available in a 7", only 10" tablets that are roughly $250-280.

From Slatedroid.com: [slatedroid.com]
Quote :
Best dual (or quad) core choices for ARM CPUs are*:
#1. Tegra3, Exynos4, RK3066
#2. Snapdragon S4, 8726-MX
#3. Tegra2, OMAP4
*The above choices are ordered by GPU performance in gaming benchmarks.

Ever wondered how your Chinatab is manufactured?
From start to finish?
A rare look inside a Chinese factory that does just that.
See how the motherboards are made, all the way down to the final product aqnd quality control testing the mics and cameras etc.
Truly amazing.

Start off with finding out how the boards are produced and tested..

...then off to the actual assembling of your tablet...

Relative to what other $70 tablet with a Capacitive screen and Android 4.0?

4+ hours non-stop on streaming WiFi with a video playing (2 movies back-to-back?) is not enough to cover you before you can find a power source?

Some people want the world. Blink

Seems good but the 800*480 resolution kills it for me.

Google Play is loaded onto the tablet already.
It is also capable of Skype video, which is hit or miss with some of the other Android tablets out there.
If it is not pre-loaded, you can get it from Google Play, which is loaded, for free.

I guess my 4-year-old daughter will finally have her own tablet Smilie thanks op, repped
No worries.
Happy to help.

My very first Android tablet purchased a year and a half ago was for my son to take on trips, because I could load movies and games onto a tablet / MicroSD card and it was portable between my car and my wife's.
At the time, it was 5 generations older than this CPU, a resistive screen, and less-than-steller battery life.
We still have that tablet today, loaded with a custom ROM, and my 2yr old daughter uses it for an Animal Book app reader.

She'll love it.

Kohl's Polaroid is the following...

Resistive Tablet (This is Capacitive)
2GB Internal HDD (This is 4GB)
Android 2.3 Gingerbread (This is 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich - the latest version)
No Camera (This has a camera)
No Skype capability (This is Skype compatible)
No Google Play / Android Market (This has it installed already)

.....that was just what caught my eye at first glance.

http://www.kohls.com/kohlsStore/e...Tablet.jsp

Oh, and the Kohl's is more expensive and you pay tax. Stick Out Tongue

I think it's fair to say that this tablet is better.
For what it's worth, Polaroid doesn't make tablets.
They find the cheapest rock-bottom tablet ODM that they can in China and then give them $0.50 more per unit to slap, "Polaroid" on it.

I'm really wanting to get one of this but does anyone have any experience of using Skype on this one? I figure I'd just use this for skype video but I really want to make sure it works perfectly. Thanks and repped!

According to the seller's website, the buyer is responsible for paying Customs fees separately. How much customs tax would be due on this item, does anyone know?
