Cheapest way to ship a package to Canada with proof of delivery?

I need to ship a ~4 pound box to Canada (16"x10"x8")...and I need to have proof of delivery. I can go USPS First Class international + registered mail for around $27 or UPS Ground for $31.

I need to be in the under $20 range though...am I SOL?

Pretty much. USPS will usually get it there for less than FedEx or UPS. Can you try packing it differently? I have found that the shape of the box seems to affect cost more than the weight.

It's a pair of shoes, so unfortunately no. The packaging is as small as it could possibly be--cardboard shaped to the shoebox.

If you refer to your husband/wife as 'DH/DW', you're too old to be active on a forum.

If you ask for marriage advice on a(ny) forum, you should seriously reevaluate your life.

If you don't know the difference between 'their', 'there', and 'they're', I automatically assume you have a mental disability (same goes for to/two/too and your/you're/yore).

Use USPS. With UPS or Fedex you can get hit with customs fees.

if you put the shoes on top of one another toe to heel they should be smaller.

Ship using USPS. They are the cheapest, however there is no tracking once it crosses the border. Take your chances. Let the customer know that if they want tracking it will cost more.

I believe USPS Priority International has tracking however it will cost like 3X more but it will get there in under a week while First Class will take up to 2 weeks at times.
