Seems this is similar to the retention offer, sure ooma may be cheaper but you do not have to pay $150 plus for the box, you have 24/7 CS with Basic Talk. Tax's / fees are $3 or so in Colorado. Also no increase in price ever!

Quite a saving on the old plan, appears that 411 is not included however there are many other options for 411

Also includes free adapter and as of May 2013 no longer requires a contract

worked like a charm. Have been with Vonage for around 5 years on the 19.99 per month plan. It took me around 2 minutes, connected to a US rep, told I wanted to switch to Vonage basic Plan. She checked my acct and said that you have been a loyal customer to us and we will offer you 9.99 unlimited minutes for life Smilie Thanks!

What's the different bewteen
www.getbasictalk.com
and
www.basictalk.com ?

Looks like getbasictalk bring you to Vonage website while the other one is not. What else is different?

I've been using ITP VoIP for about 2 years now, and even though you only get 500 outgoing minutes and unlimited incoming for the same price, I still wouldn't give it up for any other VoIP service out there. Customer service and tech support has been absolutely superb, and I was even shipped a second VoIP adapter (they use Linksys SPA2102 adapters) as a "courtesy upgrade" for free without ever contacting anybody. My bill is about $14 after state taxes and such.

Nothing, both sites are run by Vonage but they generally are running it as a separate division. One acknowledges vonage, one does not

Good to hear that CS is good with ITP, I also was just provided the newest vonage adapter totally free for an adapter several years out of warranty and the $80 plus shipping waived, it means a lot when a company goes above and beyond

Vonage has many retention plans, I'm currently on a $8 plan plus $4 fees for 300 minutes US and 300 international plus really really low per minute international rates if I exceed my minutes, I can also change my plan to other employee plans. The point is that if you get a good plan stick with it. The basic talk plan is a really good basic plan

Also don't forget you can always get Google voice to call your vonage number and connect you to US numbers for free
