Liberty Wireless - Free Phone - $20+tax month unlimited talk & text

They let you choose from 3 phones - Katana II , Katana LX and Motorola V3m.

Looks like they charge $9.95 for shipping and handling. Tax for me was $3.

They use the Sprint network.

Looks like a good plan for someone not needing a touchscreen phone or data.

I am positive that they can have $20 monthly plan because there are couple other websites offered the same $20 for unlimited talk + text. I believe in it. However, the "1 month" phrase, "valid for new activation only", and its Q&A listed its old "standard" plan made me think otherwise. And yes, they can twist otherwise, unless they make it more clear.
Great. There's no issue here. It's easy to get pumped up online, you know? Cheers.

Thanks for the review, that answered my question about people just taking the phone without sticking to the plan. So the phones are free AFTER REBATE.
That was my experience with the company, but I haven't participated in this deal. Haven't clicked far enough through to find out.

Can you name the companies that offer $20 for unlimited talk and text? Just want to check out other options.

question. what would be the "tax and fee" on top of that $20 ?

it would be ridiculous to have $10+ tax and fee added to monthly cost

This is a great deal. Unlike ChiChat and Voyager, this is available nationally. Hands down, the cheapest nationally available talk and text deal around.

I signed up for Libertywireless. They will take 10 days to ship your order. Its $20/month (every 28 days- 4 weeks. Its not 30 or 31 days). I have no complaints. You will use sprint network. Customer service is good on week days. You will be charged sales tax for $20 depending on your location. Recharge can be done by calling customer care or you can buy the pin online only through their website ( not sold anywhere else). They will email you the pin instantly.

Let me know if you have any questions.

I thought I give them a try. I bought the phone which did not work when it came. I try to RMA it over the phone and waited over 3 hours. This is over the course of 3 calls. I was disconnected on the first two calls; and one of which, I did provide a callback number and was never called back on. Phone went dead after 7 PM on the 3rd call. I am disappointed. Thats it, its just too long of a wait to keep on trying. I will probably throw away this broken phone and I will not recommend anyone for this service.

PS. While I enter the above message into their contact the President page. I notice that I could not use a single quote in the subject. It throws a MySQL error. That's why single quotes are left out from the message above. This means that they suffer from SQL Injection attack so beware of you personal/credit card information.

Anybody been using them for a while now? Anybody know if they charge all the usual fees on top of the plan or just your local/state sales tax?

Simple Mobile offers $25 unlimited talk and text for anyone interested. I've never tried their service.

Republic wireless is open to everyone now (still classified as beta)
19 a month for unlimited everything (plus taxes and fees that vary state to state and town to town). you have 1 handset choice - the Motorola Defy XT - which is (now) a dual band CDMA phone and they charge well over $250 to start up.

The plan is gone now. Was replaced with 500 minutes or texts.
