Go ahead.. Get it off your chest.

I'll start.

I think Madden sucks.

I also thought Duke Nukem Forever was a good game.

Maybe it should be immortalized in a keyboard key cap - would you like it then?

I confess that in my ripe old age (36 this year holy crap) prior to my starting Far Cry 3 I often felt too tired to game and the BLOPS2 tourney felt like a freakin chore.

Thankfully Far Cry 3 has brought me back from the dead so to speak. I've played until 1am two nights in a row! Most of you young'uns will be like..."pshhh, weaksauce!" But in terms of gaming, that's kind of an accomplishment for me these days. laugh out loud

Jeeze,

I was up to 11:00 two nights in a row this week and it's about killed me. (I'm 36 too)

I didn't use a spoiler tag because you just seam to take them for granite. But don't worry old chap, I'm hear to help you. For all intensive purposes, your probably relying on spell check a bit to much. But who knows, maybe this post is a blessing in the skies for other people who make similar mistakes, or maybe it's just a mute point and all for not.

I'm 41 and rarely do I fall asleep before 1am on weeknights. I also work a PT job until 10pm 3-4 nights a week so my 'decompression' from work doesnt really start until then. Back up at 630am to get my daughter ready for school and on the bus. I've just never needed 8 hours of sleep a night.

wow, that's impressive. I'm generally up at 6am, handle breakfast for the baby and at the office by 8 - 8:30am. Done withmy day around 5:30.

Our 16 month old is asleep by 6:30pm and then I'm at the gym by about 7pm (4 days a week). My decompression begins at the gym but I'm home relaxing by 8:30pm.

The last two nights, sleeping at 1am, caught up with me and it affected my lifts last night.

I find that when I sleep poorly my gym sessions aren't optimal in that I dont recover enough and it leaves me feeling weaker. For example ramping up sets last night (3 warm up sets plus 3 working sets with increased load on each set) on the bench and worked my way up to the 6th set @ 195 lbs (it's a "light" week). I should be able to do 9 plus reps with this weight on the 6th set but was only able to grind out 7 reps and didnt even attempt the 8th because I knew I was going to fail on the 8th rep anyway. Somehwat disappointing but at least I know exactly what the culprit was.

Went to sleep at 11 last night though as I gotta do squats tonight.

EDIT:

(just thinking out loud here) I just realized I reduced carb intake immensely this week as well....that might be the bigger factor or at the very least a contributing one. hmmm...

I think "squats and oats" is his new dubstep beat.
