Deal Details

I was doing some research on getting some maintenance done on my SLK when I found an offer from Mercedes-Benz USA. I entered my information and received a $125 gift card that can be used on maintenance and repair service of $250 or more at a dealership. Not applicable on over-the-counter parts or accessories, or combined with other offers, but will take a nice chunk out of a flex-a or -b service. Mine expires 12.31.12.

In the past the value of these coupons has varied as well as dealerships allowing discounts on accessories.

*To redeem offer, customer must present valid state-issued identification along with Mercedes-Benz vehicle owner identification displaying VIN shown above. Limit one offer per customer, per VIN. Valid only for maintenance and repair services performed at participating Merceds-Benz dealer. Total service must be $250 or more (excludes taxes). Offer not applicable for over-the-counter Parts or Accessories purchases. Offer cannot be combined with any other service offers or coupons. Must present coupon at time of service to recieve offer. Non-transferrable between households. Offer applies to this vehicle only. Expires December 31, 2012. Questions? Please contact Mercedes-Benz at 1-800-FOR-MERCEDES (1-800-367-6372).

Just fought with the system to accept my VIN for over a half hour! It just kept saying Invalid VIN. Tried chrome, firefox, and IE to no avail. Then on my last ditch attempt it accepted the VIN.

Then they e-mailed me a the "special gift" and it was only $25 off $50. I guess better than nothing but I probably won't be using it. I guess they aren't giving us '86 190D owners any love ;-)

$25 off $50!!!! That will go far on my '87 300SDL (which I think is better made than a new one...the last of the great MB's as far as I'm concerned). Interesting this deal popped up today....yesterday I was at the local "You Pull It" junkyard to find a few parts I need. Found 4 parts...in virtually brand new condition..$38 total. Looked them up on the wholesale site I buy parts from...their price for the 4 parts...a little under $500! By the time I'm done installing them I will have $38 plus about 4 hours of enjoyable time spent vs, cost of parts and labor at MB....probably $700 parts $300 labor=$1,000 minus $25!= $975 minus the cup of coffee in the waiting room $ 3 (it IS MB coffee)= $973 Thanks for the coupon!

BTW..re oil changes....that reminds me. I bought my '87 SDL on eBay 8-9 years ago! I had been looking for one for a year! One reason I bought it was the prior owner had all of his oil changes done at the dealer for the first 100,000+ miles!! Amazing.
